What does the Bible say about dinosaurs and prehistoric (Stone age) men?Are there ways to prove that God created them too? If so, what can be said about them? If they all died in the flood, then why does scientific evidence provide that they lived long before human beings? And also why did'nt Noah bring them onto ship as well, is it because they are too gigantic?

You'll find the premier mention of a dinosaur in the book of Job. It can be found in Job 40:15-24. I believe there is another topic somewhere down the way where we discussed about this particular passage. Some "interpretations" try and make this an elephant or some other modern beast but there is an issue with this when you read it. I recommend even trying to picture it or draw it on paper by the description. Consider the enormous size of cedar trees and the implication for the tail of this behemoth. A tiny little elephant tail doesn't fit.

The proof is right there in Job 40 for a rational person. You'll have some argue against this tooth and nail, but if common sense is used there's nothing else that fits the bill.As to Noah, they didn't exist when Noah was around. Consider that we have dated this Earth to be billions of years old. Dinosaur fossils themselves have been found to be millions of years old. There's no denying them; you can go right out and dig them up yourself and touch them. When you have something there in front of you, it doesn't lie.Dinosaurs existed in the first earth age. For more information on what that was, see this Bible Study:http://www.christianityboard.com/earth-age...-study-t79.html
Also in the Bible it first mentioned that the earliest descendants of Adam lived over one thousand years old, but later the Bible suggests the same descendants only lived hundreds of years, why is there this ambiguity?
Any chance you could provide specific documentation of this for me? Thanks!

What do you think? Also in the Bible it first mentioned that the earliest descendants of Adam lived over one thousand years old, but later the Bible suggests the same descendants only lived hundreds of years, why is there this ambiguity? My theory is that our view of the length/ time of a 'day' is different from the time God created all things in the beginning. Maybe during that time the daytimes are way longer.
"What does the Bible say about dinosaurs and prehistoric (Stone age) men?"Take a look at the animal being described by God in Job 40:15ff . This is a dinosaurs and they lived in the first earth age. As far as stone age man, they are more like apes because they were apes. "Also in the Bible it first mentioned that the earliest descendants of Adam lived over one thousand years old" The oldest man in Genesis was Methuselah and he died when he was 969 years old. No one lived to be over 1000 years old, which by the way is one day with God (2 Peter 3:8)

Well you have certainly asked a lot of very complicated questions in a short space:) These are scriptual questions that men seem to argue without end I will give you the point of view that the moderators on this web site believe. But I warn you others will most likley weigh in with other points of view in the end you will have to pray on the veiw you choose to believe.Ours is based on scripture as understood through a king James bible and strong concordance with each word taken to its hebrew root.I will give you a general outline first without a lot of scripture quoted.First let me explain that 2nd Peter tells us there are three world ages one that has passed, one that is, one that will be.we have a study on this subject at this linkhttp://www.christianityboard.com/earth-age...-study-t79.htmlThe story of the bible for all intesive purposes here; from the first day untill the second coming is the current(2nd age). The third is the milliium spoken of in Rev. It is our view that because of this first age we know almost nothing about and the bible being about the 2nd age that there is no disagreement between science and the bible that the bones and artifacts science says are millions of years old probably are and are from the first world age.The word Behemoth in the bible does refer to a large elephant like animal with a large tail now if you have ever seen an elephant you know they have very tiny tails was a dinosaur? Now God also tells us that one day with the Lord is a thousand years in human time. So the week of creation in Gen. then is 7000 years long. After god rested It is our belief that on the sixth day God created man these would have been cavemen as we know them)(it is one of these women that Cain married). Then God decided to create a different type of man a man with the spirit of God breathed into him a man he called "THE MAN" in english in Hebrew "ADAM" setting him apart from other men(cavemen) and gave him a helpmate and a Garden (Eden) to live in. see studyhttp://www.christianityboard.com/true-sin-...study-t509.htmlFor your last question we do not live as long in part is due to sin and punishment. There is sin against health laws which has led to diseases of our bodys, and sin against the earth and nature think of all the fertilizers chemicals ext.Hope this gives you a general outline it is not an idepth study of all the details just a place for you to start.I see you have gotten several answers sense I started this post so maybe all will give you help you are looking for.PS.I just wanted to clarify here that by cavemen I DO NOT mean half ape half human.perhaps a more accurate discription would be anceint man like you and I that lived in tribes groups and lived off the land Apes are still apes men are still men.

The correct answer lies in the two words....'evening' and 'morning'.[IMG]Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The word of the Lord and the history of men and God are not meant to be an encylopedia. The scriptures are meant to reveal the Lord Yeshua. Because certain events or records of creatures are not referenced doesn't discount the veracity of the scriptures, nor of their purpose. But if you must have a reference to dinosuars it can be found here.Gen 1:24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. Now there are some that believe- I am still undecided on this- that dinosaurs were the product of the sons of god (the very same sons of god who had intercourse with women and spawned the Anakim) and were genetically altered beasts of mutation. Here is a link that summarizes the Nephilimhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NephilimNo matter what they were, their bones exist and since they are creatures we cannot deny they existed. As to prehistoric men. I see people every once in a while that have the same bone structure as those bones scientists use as examples of 'prehistoric men'. These very same people could be identified, if their bones were dug up 3 or 4 thousands years from now, as prehistoric. We are not all made the same and everyones bones differ from another, while some take on abnormal qualities and would be considered by some to be grotesque.

I do not understand what your post means
One guess:The hint...how can there be 'evening' and 'morning' when the sun is not yet present. It is therefore the evening and the morning of the Lord, but not of man. Therefore man does not know how long the periods of the Lord's evening or morning is. The evening and the morning thus presents the dawning and the setting of an era/period of the Lord.Scientific evidence shows that the earth is millions or billions of years old.Biblical scripture states that the earth is made in 6 earth days. They're both right!!Because Almighty God compressed the millions or billions of years old into 6 x 24 hours. He pressed the 1,000,000,000x fast forward button. If you see it as when we watch a 10 hour film in just 30 minutes time using 48x fast forward button then you'd know what i am guessing. How long is the film (dvd) you're going to watch? (What is earth's age?) Answer: 10 hours (Billions of years old)So you watched the dvd for 10 hours? (How long did it take for Earth to be created?)Answer: No, I finished the film in 30 minutes (Six days).Strange concept i know, but it might be true, you'd never know [IMG]

(quote) Therefore man does not know how long the periods of the Lord's evening or morning is. The evening and the morning thus presents the dawning and the setting of an era/period of the Lord(quote)The bible states differently: 2nd Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
