Well Rocker, you can't say that any longer.
One of those backslidden believers is talking with you right now. Would you like to hear my testimony so you can misjudge me for yourself? I say that because, I'm afraid that no matter what I may tell you, it won't do anything at all to sway your opinion. But I'm willing to give it a try.
You can, but the Holy Spirit leads me, and I guarantee you I have more experience than you. No backslidin' believer is close to me because I'd be all over them. I'm an evangelist that's been around the block a few times.

Well then I guess there's no point in sharing is there? Just as I said, you will not change your mind no matter what I told you. You've made your mind up already. Led by the Holy Spirit of course. I defer to your superior wisdom and experience. I guess it wasn't God who changed me all those years ago, must have been a phase. Peace friend.

I apologize in advance if I am intruding in any way. If I read your comment above, you were and are no longer a believer... do I have that right? If you care to offer your thoughts on how or why this happened, I believe there would be many, including myself, that would be interested in your story. I am not bringing this up to give you the impression that I have any thought I could possibly convert you or change your position based on what you have experienced during your life.... but there may be others within this forum that could offer you some thoughts to consider.... No problem at all if you choose to not want to share in your decision. God bless always.

Sanctification is the process that changes you over your entire lifetime. If you go off the wrong way, for some reason, rest assured, the Holy Spirit will straighten your course. Read these two scriptures one after the other, and just Let Go and Let God do His work in you. Proverbs 3:5-7 and Ephesians 3:20

No, you misunderstood. I was born again in 1990 and after a few years, some church abuse, and a really fun divorce, I slipped back into the world. In January of 23' Christ went out and found His lost sheep. I've never been better actually.

Rocker was saying that he had never met a backslidden believer that was ever truly born again.

But I do thank you sincerely for your concern.

You don't say.
That's appears to be a blatant contradiction of your previous assertions.
Color me confused.

Do you believe God is going to hold someone who does not rest on saturday as guilty as a murderer?
Well, that is well above my pay grade! I might be somewhat able to call balls and strikes, but I cannot throw anyone out of the game! But what I can honestly tell you is that there is definitely a closeness I experince every Sabbath with the Lord that I had never experienced when I attended church or worshipped on Sunday... To be candid, I hated going to church (when I was young), and didn't go to church after I left home. Didn't miss it, didn't want it, and ...... For what it is worth, I would respectfully ask that you might simply try to spend a Sabbath with the Lord and see if He comes close to you. It is not something to miss... and I had no idea of its importance. I thought it was nothing more than the difference between when the Jewish folks worshipped and the Christians.... and since I knew Jesus was the Messiah, they must also be wrong on this Sabbath thing....

But it is not a Jewish thing... it is a God thing. God bless always.

Well, i see with have a similar background as a teenager into my early 20's.

When i was very young i did like praying and singing in church.

back to sabbath/saturday
Of course they are... would it be any different if they committed murder? Is this commandment any less than the others?

This is a very BOLD statement and now you have backtracked which shows inconsistency in your beliefs.

So what does God do with the sabbath breakers = violating the 4th commandment?

I don't know what you mean... I am not backtracking at all. I believe in the 10 ommandments. But you specifically asked me to judge you... can't do that. Only God can... and I think you know that very well....

This is your statement that quantifies all people as committing murder in the eyes of God if they do not keep saturday sabbath.

This why i am asking of you = How do you make this assessment?

By the way, how many years did the Israelites worship other gods, how many years did they disobey God and did not allow the land to rest (490 years), did King David commit murder, adultery, covetness, etc., There is not one person on the planet who has not broken His commandments.... In King David's case, he repented and God knew his heart.... God is a forgiving God but He also needs true repentence on our part.

Here is my claim: I believe in the 10 commandments. Only God has the right to judge anyone. That is all I am saying...

OK

Back to these words you spoke which you believe.

How did you come to this belief? From where?

There is only one commandment to live by. Love one another, and believe on the one whom was sent and completely obedient to his Father which we ourselves could never do.
