There's no such thing as "half way" with God...all or nothing, no compromise. I don't recall Jesus saying anything good about Idols, God is a jealous God and will have no other Idols, gods...before Him. There is just as much P.C. within faiths as their are in politics...it's all pride and stiff-necks who will not budge, even with scriptures being so clear. Yes, some things we should never budge on...such as all salvific scripture. He does not "share" Himself with other gods or idols...and we know there are MANY idols within the church, individually and corporately...IMHO.

Well…the man did what was right in Gods sight. He didn’t do perfectly but…

Can "greater" not simply mean "bigger", "more", wider in scope because they will still be on the earth as Jesus work is done, He is now with The Father. Nobody seems to bite on this possibility...hmm. :)
I do.

If you have seen something, bring us scriptures. If you can’t show it with scripture, you will have no ones ear.

Every member in this thread and on this forum will claim they believe everything Jesus taught, but most of the theology that is argued for and spread around here shows there are more "Christians" who actually don't believe most of what Jesus actually taught.

Jesus said He did not come to start a new religion and that living by the Law was a moral imperative for His followers(Matt. 5:17-20). "Christians" here say the opposite is true. Jesus said a truly born again person will be a Spirit being that is invisible to human eyes like the wind(Jhn. 3:8). "Christians" here think they are already born again, even though they can clearly be seen by human beings.

Jesus said God must be worshiped in spirit and truth(Jhn. 4:24). "Christians" here think they can worship God any way they want and that He's obligated to accept it just because their intentions are good. Jesus said nobody other than Himself was going to Heaven(Jhn. 3:13). "Christians" here think people go there after they die, and that Jesus is going to take them there when He returns. Jesus said He would be dead for a full 72 hr. period(Matt. 12:40), yet "Christians" here say He was dead for under 48 hrs.

Jesus said the Sabbath was made for all of humanity(Mar. 2:28), yet "Christians" here say it was made only for the Jews/Israelites. Jesus says the gospel is about the soon-coming government of God that will he administered throughout the world(Mar. 4:30-32), yet "Christians" here say the gospel is about Him. Those are just some of the many examples that proves most people really don't believe Christ, no matter how much they claim to be part of His flock. If they did, their theology wouldn't consistently disagree with everything He actually taught.

'if your hand offends you, chop it off' ...Jesus
The problem with engaging sin is it disables your ability to believe that God is that good he will forgive you. Guilt, shame and remorse cripple faith.
