We can eat at the same table, if that's what you want to know. Satan doesn't want people to think he is around. It makes it easier to lead people astray. He is the most subtle of all (Genesis 3:1).

You wanna know who causes bad things to happen?

Ourselves, the darkness within us, and the spirits of the world whrn we are tempted to do actions by our own merit. Not satan; sorry he was done away with. So was the ordiances and commandments of the Law fulfilled in Christ. Satan cant do anything today; he was defeated and done away with.

There are those out there those who act like figuratively Satan in condemning people because of their sins; as though they are the Word of God. As though they have the right to condemn and shame people, jesus only was extremely hard on the Pharisees at the time, because they had pushed away the commandments of God for their own traditions.

Jesus paying for sin once on the cross got rid of sin all together. The payment was fulfilled and though we still have this nature which is a slave to sin - there is no one left to condemn anyone but God by the holy spirit where he can cut you back, and prune you as you allow him to mold you into a new person by the spirit; bringing forth newness of life because of the Gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. :)

Christians by definition have been born again. We are no longer children of Satan, we are children of God. We are all sinners still, but forgiven. Sin dwells in the members of our flesh, which is why we must die to our old self/ ways. We fall back, backsliding sometimes. But as we practice, develop self control to say no to temptations ( and this is spiritual maturity), we become more holy. But we don't make ourselves holy, God sanctifies us. In one sense we are saved, instantly, our spirit is purified. But we still live with this flesh and must deal with it until we die and are finally separated from it.
And btw, Satan is still around. There is still much evil in the world perpetrated and encouraged by Satan. Jesus will return and cast Him down in chains soon.

I don’t also buy into the lie that Satan is still around. John wrote about his defeat and I believe it’s true, not something to happen down the line. Jesus promised to come quickly then in that time, he never lied about that. People lie by believing man made traditions and discounting Jesus. It’s unfortunate that people have been lied to, abused, and manipulated.

Yes, they were hypocrites and Jesus also knew they were reprobates, especially condemning them to the Gehenna. He directing said Who will save you from the Gehenna (a symbolic reference to Lake of Fire.)
Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the Law for us, but the Law is there, it has not been abolished.
It's there to show us and unbelievers what sin is. Do people still lie, steal, murder commit adultery ... ? Come on get real.

So Hitler, who killed 6 million Jews, 7 million Russians, 1.8 million Polish and let's just pit the 15 -20 million Europeans who died because of his war on him. You don't think he was possessed or influenced by demons or Satan himself?
How about Mao Zedong, responsible for 30-40 million deaths? You think he wasn't guided by spiritual entities. Demons and Satan are still torment ting and influencing billions. Again, get real.

You really need to go to a good teaching church and not a Universalist one. You lack much wisdom and knowledge that you can't seem to figure out for yourself. It is evident with all your threads and asking questions that most begginers know the answers to after a few years if good solid study. I had a great Pastor for a dozen years and also additional studies by some of the best teachers. Still learning ... but the awareness that Satan is still around is basic stuff.

Listen Satan has not been locked up yet! He still exercises much authroity in this world. His Principalities are in charge of different regions of the world where we see false belief systems, communism, terrorism, corruption. We can see cities where crime is out of control.
Your belief is totally wrong. Scholars on both sides, Catholics and Protestants _ across the board _ all agree with this. It is a fundamental belief in Christianity.
