@Jack, @MatthewG
Jack, Matthew is a preterist and believes that most if not all biblical prophecy has already been fulfilled and as such, he believes that Satan has already been overcome.
We all have our quirks with regards to what we believe. We need to sometimes give grace to others who do not believe as we do.
If a person does not accept what we post after a couple of interchanges of posts, it is best left alone.
It all comes down to the source of our understanding. Some have God's revelation, others do not.
Matthew's heart is towards saving the lost. We should not be trying to call fire down from heaven to consume people who do not meet our expectations of what a "Christian" should believe. Jesus told the disciples to leave them alone.
I leave Matthew alone a lot of the time as he is not able to handle challenges to his belief system well.
Shalom
