The parable in question tells us to judge nothing before the appointed time.

I speak for myself and not for those who have gone before me.

its some thing we know, a person becomes a catholic when they join the catholic church, just as a SDA becomes an SDA when they join the SDA church, when one is Joined to Christ one becomes a Christian, Those condescending words you consistently spew out of your mouth shows where your heart is at.

LOL....your reference to Scripture has NOTHING to do with the dictionary definition of the word men.

Nope.....simply not true. The passage you references has to do with hypocrites not practicing what they preached and NOTHING to do with teaching a lesson.

If you knew Scripture you would know that....;)

I think that you didn't read the scripture in question.

It specifically speaks to the one who is attempting to teach a lesson to other people.

And yes, it does indeed speak of the fact that they do not take advantage of that lesson in their own lives.

you cannot provide any Biblical or objective proof of miracles happening today. Everytime angels speak in the Bible they spoke in known earthly language.

There is such a thing as angelic tongues (1 Corinthians 13:1). Iow, a language that is spoken among the angels of heaven.

Psa_119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

    Law:

Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
    Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exo 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Exo 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Exo 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exo 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Exo 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exo 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

    Testimony:

Joh_18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Act_24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

But you cannot prove that anyone on earth speaks an angelic tongue or that angelic tongues are just ecstatic utterances no man can understand.

In 1 Corinthians 13:1 Paul is using a figure of speech, hyperbole. Similar language and hyperbole is found in Galatians 1:8. Here Paul is NOT literally saying that an angel will actually come down from heaven and preach a false gospel. It's hyperbole....'even if' an angel came down from heaven and preached a false gospel let him be accursed. Same hyperbole in 1 Cor 13:1 "even if" Paul could speak all earthly languages, 'even if' he could speak angelic language it would do him no good if he did not have charity. Paul "is merely saying that even if one could ascend to a new height, and communicate on the level of angels, if he did not exercise love by speaking in an understandable fashion, he still would be nothing but a distracting noise. The apostle’s argument does not hint of a mysterious, unintelligible utterance; in fact, it reflects just the opposite."
What Are the "Tongues of Angels" in 1 Corinthians 13:1?

In 1 Cor 13:1 when Paul says "Though I speak with the tongues of men..." the 'tongues here refer to languages that can be understood by man, therefore tongues of angels would also refer to an understandable language. There is nothing in the context that tongues of men is understandable but the tongues of angels are not understandable. In 1 Cor 14 Paul's point is speaking in a tongue that is not understandable by the hearer is vain, it's speaking to the air, it does not edify, it goes against the will of God...God is not the author of confusion. This same idea applies to 1 Cor 13:1 that to speak in a tongue no man can understand is meaningless, vain, showing lack of charity for the hearer(s). If miraculous tongues are used as they were meant to be used, then men could understand the language and thereby profit by what was being preached. So even if Paul could speak in the language of angels it would be a language that must be understood by the hearer else Paul is speaking in vain, speaking to the air having no charity for the hearer. As I pointed out in my earlier post, in the Bible when angels spoke they spoke in languages understood by men. No evidence at all they spoke in ecstatic utterances that men could not understand.

No miraculous signs, as speaking in tongues, occurring today.

I rarely understand what you write sooooo I can only assume that your answer to my question (Who does Jesus tell now, 2,000 years later?) is: "when one is Joined to Christ one becomes a Christian".

Since I and many other Christians are joined to Christ and we disagree with your doctrines does that mean that you are not Joined to Christ? Or are all the doctrines you hold "joined to Christ" and all the doctrines we hold NOT joined to Him?

You are PARTIALLY right. :) It does specifically speak to the one who is attempting to teach a lesson to other people. But look at verse 17: But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law... IN CONTEXT the passage is speaking of "Jews" in general and not Jewish teachers.

CLEARLY you didn't read the CONTEXT of that passage. Using your theory, that we can cherry pick scripture and quote it out of context to prove our point, then I wouldn't be wrong to say that the Apostle Peter is Satan (Matthew 16:23). See how your theory falls apart when we quote things out of context?

IN CONTEXT Romans 2:21 is IN FACT about being or not being a hypocritical Jew who relies on the law AND teaches the law: While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You that forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You that abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You that boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

I doubt you ever will. You are a catholic joined to the catholic church, received the counterfeit catholic spirit, thats why you talk, act, sound, and defend catholism, nothing to do with God, At the bereft of having to repeat myself.

1Co 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

but since you seemingly dont know what it is I speak of,

Rom_8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I think that people like to feel proud of the accomplishments of others. There is a prevalent attitude that comes from a feeling of security based on belonging (in a human temporal way) to the 'right" organization. But come judgment day will God judge you by association...or by your own works? So then not only are we not to rest on the laurels of others...we are not even to rest on our own previous accomplishments. There is no room for feeling proud of our religion...or of ourselves...before God. God resists the proud. We can justify ourselves in many ways....but all of those ways are not pleasing to God. He gives grace to the humble.

How about we submit to God by following Jesus. That way we have nothing to be proud of, for He has done it all.

    We cannot save ourselves.

Heresy means to bring division. Identifying with a group can lead to tribalism. Tribalism is a very primitive and worldly way to protect oneself from harm by seeking safety in a group. We see that spirit in gangs and in politics. But this should never be a motivation of a believer in Christ.
