and, the def of "witness" here is diff to each mind, also. Our current church def of witness is a very poor one imo. We witness exclusively with our mouths now, right.

Some do make their witness ineffective by their conduct. But we can't assume that is the case for all Christians.

i suggest that the current definition of "witness" as most believers understand it is pure yack

Isn't that the problem with all speech?
In my day gay meant happy person.
Wicked meant evil...now this young generation say wicked when they mean good.
And "that's sick", when they love it!
But I guess we did the same in our day.

"Witness" now, as you say does not get it's meaning across unless you can speak chritianese. :)

how many times do you say "i have to" or "i gotta" in a day?

How many times do you hear it said?
What is another common way to define this concept, this something that you have to do?

I have a brother who says both of those many times each day...he is quite hyper and has been "cleaning his garage" out for the last decade...funny it seems more cluttered each time I go over there!!! Lol, he's always rushing around to do...nothing that truly HAS to be done. He keeps himself in binds over all the "stuff" he has to do that do not NEED to be done! When services are over, out the door he goes because he's just... gotta go! lol

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
