Do you weary in the Christian life? Do you sometimes feel that it is just one uphill struggle? Well, you are not alone. Saints past, present (and future) have/will know this reality as JC Ryle reminds us, and also encourages us concerning;

J. C. Ryle in Be Content —

Stick to that word "never." It is worth its weight in gold. Cling to it as a drowning man clings to a rope. Grasp it firmly, as a soldier attacked on all sides grasps his sword. God has said, and will stand to it, "I will never leave you!"

"Never!" Though your heart often faints, and you are sick of self, and your many failures and infirmities; even then the promise will not fail.

"Never!" Though the devil whispers, 'I shall have you at last! In little while, your faith will fail, and you will be mine!' Even then, God will keep his Word.

"Never!" Though waves of trouble go over your head, and all hope seems taken away. Even then the Word of God will stand.

"Never!" When the cold chill of death is creeping over you, and friends can do no more, and you are starting on that journey from which there is no return. Even then—Christ will not forsake you.

"Never!" When the Day of Judgment comes, and the books are opened, and the dead are rising from their graves, and eternity is beginning. Even then the promise will bear all your weight. Christ will not leave his hold on your soul.

Discouragement is very easy for me--especially since I hurt from my neck on down. However, I don't lat a day go by without giving God and my Saviour praise.

As long as anyone says and thinks and believes that discouragement is easy...
It will be easy.

I say this with Bibilical backing and personal experience. No offense is meant in ANY way...
hoping for light to be shed on the subject with best wishes...and that's all.

We all have issues...it's how we handle them that lightens our load...not the issues themselves.
Paralyzed, cancer, constant pain, poor, hungry...you name it...praising the Lord is super...however,

"We have not because we ask not," James something

Someone just gave me $100,000 to pay off my mortgage and I did ...no strings only to not
tell anyone who they were. Miracles happen. I was healed and do healings all the time.
Miracles happen...banish that devil between the ears, as I did years ago, and let the
inheritance of abundance (in health, finance, relationship...) be yours. Break the paper chains.

Blocking thoughts, emotions and beliefs block...
while being open let's the Lord give to us according to His riches.

People don't like hearing this often and want to stick to their anchor they are so comfortable with...
So no pressure from me...enough said.

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Faith is hope:

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, (ie, not proven).

Peace, Ted

My favorite verse, I think.

Faith is a substance more real than anything your eyes see.

Why?

Because it is faith that created all that your eyes see.

All matter came from faith.

It was faith that was before the words 'Let there be Light'.
It was faith that the Father had when he imagined and then said those words.

So which is more powerful, which will you believe in, which will be trusted in more?

That, which is unseen that created all matter; where all matter manifested from or
things that you see and men speak of in this world as real?

Faith always trumps matter. Faith trumps Physical Laws.

Jesus tried to tell us...ask and it is given...speak to the mountain...believe and receive...know
that it has already been given...be anxious for nothing...cast your cares...it's the Formula.

Every human being gets weary at times,it is a common state of being in this world and in this life, not so common however are those willing to admit to it.I get weary often,it passes but i know it will come again, some days are better than others but i know i'm one day closer to the end of it all.....the weariness that is.

Hi Strat,
We think a bit differently. No problem.
I have a renewed mind, by some Grace of God, and could never even think in those terms !!
But, that's me.

I have practiced Thought Control or Thought Modification for years now..I laugh at any split second trick that
may try to creep into my mind...ha, try to discourage me in any way - I dare a thought just try to change my emotions into feeling weary, defeated,
fearful, spiritually tired, depressed or worried... HA!

(This did not happen overnight. But after awhile the 'devil between my ears' didn't have fun
with me any more, so went elsewhere to play these childish pranks... his pranks now can be much more serious than
toying with 'discouragement", just wait for the really big guns!!! Some think lust or jealousy are pretty big ---child's play...once
they are overcome....Ha! Weariness ?, phfft...child's play.)

Remember, Be anxious for nothing...it didn't say be anxious for 3% of things...'nothing' is Biblical...just as "all" means all,
and "Do not" means do not ,as in worry or have fear.
(Give Him our burdens -actually means ----give them to Him ---all of them -even when you lose your keys and you're late --
all your burdens; e-v-e-r-y o-n-e of them.

It's not hard...we just have to do it...p-e-r-i-o-d.

I know I sound like a Christian Life Coach, well, I am. I'm a spiritual sentry.

You say this feeling is 'common in this world'...not in my world...there is living in the Kingdom; Focusing on
the things above and not on the earth (Col 3:2) and then there are carnal, secular, worldly thoughts and beliefs...personal choice...
it's always our choice...
I chose believing what Jesus instructed and actually 'doing' it ---and guess what -He was telling the Truth.
No one was more surprised than me that actully applying what Jesus taught - w-o-r-k-ed!!

There's simply believing Jesus died for our sins and all and then there comes a time
to step up and apply His profound teachings - every day of our lives.

:) Please, I mean no offense, but only to encourage, tho maybe at times like a drill sargeant.
