And is it a sin if you believe in OSAS or Universalism or Calvinism?
Strangely enough it is more important what you do than what you believe.

No matter what we believe it not going to be about it all. There is a lot about God and Heaven and Hell that we are not going to be able to comprehend so what is important is the correct process of salvation, Act 2:38 and the Bread and Wine Ritual and after that do our best to be good and do good.

What you do is important. Some like to say that salvation is a free gift. Which is not entirely accurate. What you do matters. If you don’t believe me, what if, some one sits in the Lazy Boy and enjoys TV and never thinks of Yeshua, never has faith in Yeshua, never repents, never is baptized or participates in the Bread and Wine Ritual…..it does not matter if they are a good or bad person, when they die where do you think they are going? You have to do something to be saved. The opportunity for salvation is a free gift but not for Yeshua…. it came with a heavy price.

What you do is a important. You may believe in OSAS or Universalism or Calvinism and do not believe that doing your best to be good and do good will get you Heaven? But if you do not try your best to be good and do good you will find yourself in Hell. Being good and doing good does not save you….it is what Christians do and what Yeshua expect us to do.

On the other hand you may believe in OSAS or Universalism or Calvinism and do your best to be good and do good….Yeshua knows your intent and you will probably make it to Heaven even if you believe in OSAS or Universalism or Calvinism.

One of the pit falls of this it that if you promote OSAS or Universalism or Calvinism some one with less moral character may take it as a license to sin and end up in Hell and you were partially responsible for that.

What you do matters in seeking salvation and applying the Way to your life. Free will….you are responsible for what you do. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2nd Corinthians 5:10

what Yeshua expect us to do.
Has it yet occurred to you, whomever may read this . . . Jesus has no "expectations" in the way we speak of such. He knows exactly what each of us will do at any moment in our lives.

And on the heels of that truth, God is never disappointed with you. Never! As though you failed to meet His "expectations". Nope!

Much love!

So you are saying that if I believe rebirth is forever, exactly as the Bible portrays, that is sin, but I might still "make it to heaven" on my good works?

Maybe you need to rethink this. It does in fact matter what you believe! You cannot work yourself into heaven. You must be born again, repenting from your unbelief, and receiving Jesus.

Much love!

Thanks @Grailhunter.

This website doesn't define me as a human being. It doesn't make me more righteous in the way I hold myself on here either.

These people on here don't dictate who is saved or not saved.

These people on here have no power.

Except the power to live by the power of the resurrected Lord Yeshua if they so raise with him from death, and abide in him.

And he only produces spiritually good fruits of heavenly affairs. That comes by and through the hearts of those seek God faithfully.

And God is pleased by faith and rewards those who seek him.

Does it matter what you believe?

What you believe is the engine which takes you to a destination.

Great post Grailhunter!
And now cometh the naysayers!

Here's two more verses that will ALSO be ignored:

Romans 2:5-6
5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
6 who
WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:

John 5:28-29

28 "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,
29 and will come forth; those
who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

Paul...the master of grace...said we will be judged based on our deeds.

Jesus...God Himself....said we will be judged based on our deeds.

But why listen to them?

Sorry brothers and sisters, but I have laugh at a lot of this, simply because what we think 'personally' WILL NOT REPLACE GOD'S WRITTEN WORD AS THE MEASURE, NOR WHAT IS COMING.

And... because we are living very, very close to the end of days for this present world when Lord Jesus and His Apostles WARNED US about the coming Antichrist/false-Messiah at the very end who will try and play Lord Jesus Himself fully with miracles and such!

Who here is even talking about that coming false-Messiah per God's Word?? Too few I find.

If you were asked who King David was, you might say a revered king of Israel. If you were asked who Moses was, you would say a revered leader of Israel. Yet all you know of the God of Israel is that He is called "The LORD" and you won't even say His Son's name properly when it is literally printed all over the place.

Who do you think you are talking about with this yahweh/yeshua nonsense? The Psalmists did not utter these names and no Apostle wrote of them. Are you so disappointed by the name of Jesus as to preach another in His position? So It is no surprise you would be asking if what one believes is of any importance.

Edit: For what it's worth, Jesus had a favorite disciple, so if you believe in the Deity of Jesus, you must admit God does have favorites. Perhaps you might consider how that is and why.

All that we believe and do needs to be grounded not on basic knoweldege but on "accurate knoweldge." Most professedd Christians have varing degrees of knowelge, but not accurate. Consider and reflect on the scriptures: Romans1:28; 10:2; Ephisians 1:7; Philippians 1:9; Colossians 1:9, 10; 2:2; 3:10; 1 Timothy 2:4; 4:3; 2 Timothy 2:25; 3:7; Titus 1:1; 2 Peter 1:2, 3, 18; 2:20.
