That sounds like an admission that the contradictions are there.
Your claim being that the contradictions don't "actually alter anything in the Bible’s
overarching theme, or in relation to God’s purpose for mankind on this earth".


We are in agreement, if that is the point.

I agree. Conflicting testimony is contradictory.
But the point is that most Christians claim there are no contradictions in the Bible.
Is that true, or false?

Perhaps much of Israelite religion was based on Amorite religion?

They have a lot in common. I would guess that the two came from a common ancestor that split. Nobody hates each other quite like two factions that came from the same place.

The Calvinists and Arminians can testify to that.
