(JIP;29727)
Wow awesome testimony. Are you catholic by any chance? Well I know the existence of the Holy Spirit.I was talking about the spirit within us. The two are very different. And I wanted to knowif there is a way we could sense the spirit withinus as this what some say, as though they are sensingthe spirit within us. I did not ask to locate the siprit.I also did not ask what the spirit does. But till today no onecould tell me how I could sense my spirit but tell me I amsupposed to walk in my spirit, worship in my spirit, livein my spirit.
Dear JIP, I am assuming that when you say how can you sense your spirit within you that you mean how can you experience or be aware of the spirit within you. If so, I believe the following information may help you.
TO EVIDENCE THE 'WITHIN' YOU When we received the holy spirt, we receive "power from on high." Many Christians believe that
pneuma hagion holy spirit is automatically received "into manifestation" the holy spirit at the time of salvation. They believe that when a person confesses Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior, he receives eternal life which is
pneuma hagion. There is something more to salvation for the Christian. Once you are born again of God's spirit you have the God-given ability to operate
NINE wonderful manifestation of that spirit of which speaking in tongues is one.
Speaking In Tongues is the believer's external manfiestation and proof n the senses realm of the internal reality and presence of the power of the holy spirit.
When speaking to the Apostles, Jesus made a distinction between the spirit being
with and the spirit being
in. John 14:17, spoken before Pentecost, says of the
pneuma, "for he dwelleth with you [active, present tense] and shall be in you [furture tense]." The
pneuma hagion, holy spirt - the power from on high, entered into the Apostles for the first time on the day of Pentecost. The primary purpose of receiving the holy spirit "into manifestation" is to give us power for abundant living. As Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost [the hagion pneuma] is come upon you . . . ." speaking in tongues is a constant reminder even in the hours of bereavement and sorrow, temptation and trouble, that Christ by way of God's power is in you (Colossians 1:27). Therefore, you have victory over the enemy in every situation because as 1 John 4:4 states; "greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." There has been so little clear-cut Biblical teaching about the wonderful blessing of the holy spirit that many people have no idea as to the great value of its manifestation. Should all believers speak in tongues? In Mark 16:17 Jesus said that believers in his name "shall speak with new tongues." Notice that the Bible does not say, "Speak in tongues until the death of the original disciples and apostles." In I Corinthians Paul by revelation said, "I would that ye all spoke with tongues." Remember that the Epistle to the Corinthians was written to the Church. I Corinthians 1:2 stipulates, "Unto the church of God." Thus it was written to you and me. who are believers, who belong to the Church of the Body. Every place in the Book of Acts where the holy spirit was received and the initial external manifestation is mentioned it was always
speaking in tongues. -----------------------------------------------------
TO WORSHIP GOD IN THE SPIRITJesus Christ himself taught about worshipping God in spirit and in truth according the Book of John.John 4:22-24Verse 22 --- Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Verse 23 --- But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Verse 24 --- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. In verse 22,
"In spirit and in truth..." is the figure of speech
hendiadys, which means
"two nouns used but one thing is meant". "Spirit" is a noun and "truth" is a noun. The double noun is being used to doubly emphasize that it is spiritually true, or truly spiritual. God seeks true worshippers to worship Him --in spirit and in truth. What does it mean to worship God by the spirit? What does God's Word declare to the born-again Christian? Religion may teach one thing; however, it is God's Word that always has the ultimate and final say. It is the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever. What matters is what God's Word teaches, which is not according to the doctrines or commandments of men. Christianity is not religion. Christianity is Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is a loving relationship that the Father has with His children. To worship God by the spirit, we must operate, by our free-will believing, the spiritual manifestation of the holy spirit. This manifestation of the spirit
which produces true worship is speaking in tongues.Speaking in tongues is worshipping "in [by] the spirit and in truth." It is true worship whereby God who is Spirit is communicating to his gift of holy spirit which is His new creation in you. God's Spirit speaking to your spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues, is true worship. It is God's will for His born-again believers to know about His gift of holy spirit and to operate the manifestations of His gift in order that we may evidence the power of God in our day-by-day living. If you have any questions, please let me know.Love in Christ,Agape
