In love, who cares
Maybe people that E-bikes and E-scooters kill with care? That is a strange response, I'm curious why you don't care?

"E-bike battery sparks NYC apartment building fire that killed one, injured six. A 39-year-old man was killed and six other people were injured when a fire sparked by an e-bike battery ripped through a NYCHA apartment building in the Bronx, authorities said." E-bike battery sparks NYC apartment building fire that killed one, injured six

Not to mention the more people that know how dangerous electric vehicles are the better.

Your place on current events forums, who cares about a battery explosion an everyday occurrence, get real are you bored?

I see I have a critic. No I'm just informing people of what's currently happening in the world.

This all reminds me of the governments push to use natural gas in homes, and not electricity. Next thing people are dying from home explosions:

There is more to worry about with these electrical forms of transportation...

We knew they didn't go as far but the charging station graveyards is ridiculous:

Actually, knowing battery care is what is needed most.

You have to be careful when charging - you can't just leave them on the charger after they are fully charged. Plus, when charging you should never charge on a flammable surface (I charge in the kitchen for smaller batteries such as for e-bikes) and you should always keep an eye on your batteries when charging and make sure there's plenty of airflow around your charger and your batteries themselves aren't getting too hot.

If you're careful even if a battery explodes you can prevent catastrophy, and if you're careful you can avoid having an incident in the first place.

You just have to be careful and make sure you're not buying factory seconds. Buy quality batteries, quality chargers and take care of them.

I remember cell phones that were exploding and vaping stuff exploding in peoples pockets. It appears there are just risks with those batteries perhaps. And maybe nothing you can do. Perhaps the problem is that batteries are not the way to go?

We need new battery technology really. Liion batteries are great in that they provide a necessary amount of power for these newer technologies, but between the rare minerals they require and a general instability (they don't handle extremes) they aren't the best source of power really.

They believe they have discovered a better battery recently, it'll be years before it would hit any retail market but if it truly works better and is safer we'll soon find out.

A secondary issue with some of these batteries is that there is only 3 battery manufacturers in the world today for liion batteries. Everyone else buys from them, and puts their own branding on it.

Some of these Chinese companies are buying batteries that didn't pass quality control standards for other companies to buy, what is called by most as factory seconds, and they try and pass them off as good batteries that are rated higher than what they are actually capable of.

So you have to be careful where you get your batteries from and what brands you buy, and if you buy something with built in batteries there's no way of knowing, you just have to hope you bought from a good company.

Batteries is the one area you can't save money on. You have to buy the more expensive ones.

When a Lithium Ion battery is going bad it usually puffs up. I'm not sure if it always does, or somehow indicates a catastrophic failure may be about to occur. And perhaps when there are multiple cells the voltage differences between them can indicate a failure.
