They, who have been born of water and Spirit. Never ever tell another lie, or commit any sin ever again. This is the evidence and fruit of the gift of the Holy Ghost. That is Eternal Life in Jesus the Christ. This cannot be counterfeited by the devil or his children.

The Apostle John, writing to Christians says:

1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

The implication is that some Christians are walking in darkness but saying that they have fellowship with the Lord, further implying that they are not currently walking in unconfessed sin. One who is born-again, he is not instantly perfected in love and his walk with God is a progressive walk of sanctification.

1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The implication in 1 John 1:7 is that the blood of Jesus Christ is still cleansing us from any sin as we are walking in the light (fellowship with Him), progressively experiencing sanctification and walking in greater righteousness and holiness. "If we walk", is speaking of our continuous walk in this life, not "because we walked", or "when we walked", but IF WE WALK.

1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

John is correcting the false notion for those that want to say, they are walking in the light perfectly and have absolutely no sin.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John's instruction implies that as we continue to walk in the Light we will continue to come to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and cleansing. And, that we can take encouragement from the fact that Jesus Christ can cleanse us in this life from all unrighteousness. But, we have to come to Him, walk in the light (truth) and with humility, confess our sins.

1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

This last verse needs not explanation.

We might have some sin in our lives. But our main aim as a Christian should be to reduce the sin in our lives. And it is by the grace of God and the Holy Spirit that we have the power to overcome our sin. Jesus primarily came to earth to save us from sin, because only sin can seperate us from God. Thats why Jesus was named as Jesus. ("...[background=rgb(249, 253, 255)]give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." - [/background]Matthew 1:21).

How can we say NEVER sin? It is by the grace of God that we slowly overcome our sin. It will not happen overnight, but we must pursue righteousness and seek to lead a sinless life just like Jesus.

I will take that as a NO.

1 John 38He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

I have an excellent understanding of the Christians that are on Earth today.
I know them like the back of my hand. I would never claim those sinners will not sin.
So you are incorrect.

commit any sin ever again. This is the evidence and fruit of the gift of the
Holy Ghost. That is Eternal Life in Jesus the Christ.

That statement is true because eternal life is a 110% sinless kind of life.

†. 1John 3:9 . .Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed
remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

In contrast, human life is a 110% sinful kind of life.

†. 1John 1:8-10 . . If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a
liar, and His word is not in us.

That is Eternal Life in Jesus the Christ.

According to God's testimony as an expert witness in all matters pertaining
to His own son; people who don't have eternal life; don't have His son; viz:
they are quite christless.

†. 1John 5:11-12 . .This is what God has testified: He has given us eternal
life, and this life is in His son. So whoever has God's son has the life;
whoever does not have the life, does not have His son.

Some Christians find 1John 5:11-12 impossible to accept because their
minds have been long conditioned to think that people (the lucky ones)
obtain eternal life in the next life sometime after their demise. But if that
were true, then nobody in this life would have Christ; and that situation
would be very critical.

†. Rom 8:9 . . If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not
belong to Christ.

Obviously a false teaching.

Judging by actions is imperfect; God looks at the heart, and his is the only judgement that matters.
This teaching can only lead to a legalistic fear of sin. We shouldn't fear that which Jesus has conquered. Rather love God and be lead by The Spirit.

No, it is the flesh that causes one to sin. And your flesh stays with you even after salvation, so it is still there opposing The Spirit.

Galatians 5:17-18

17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Your get a new body at the resurrection, one that must be Holy in order to be with God.

2 Corinthians 5:4-5
4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

I just proved with the truth you are wrong. And if the Apostle Paul believes as you said, then I just proved with the truth he was wrong. That is just the way it is weather you like it or not.

I just proved with the truth you are wrong. And if the Apostle Paul believes as you said, then I just proved with the truth he was wrong. So much you cannot even turn to the left or to the right. That is just the way it is wheather you like it or not.

Jesus said it best, here I will let him say it to you. Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Ok. If you say that no true "Christian"...one born of water and Spirit, can sin again or lie...then do you claim those things about yourself? Do you never lie? Do you never sin? In thought, word or deed?
(By the way...this is a trick question...if you answer 'never'...you've just lied...which is a sin.)

By the way...coming out with somewhat cryptic, ambiguous one sentence answers that slag others trying to understand what on earth you've just uttered...is not a real good way to start out here. Lay out your beliefs, supported by scripture passages. Thanks.
