Agreed. ‘For us, there is one God, the Father.’ Hard to imagine a more explicit destruction of the false doctrine of the trinity.
I'm not exactly sure what the doctrine of the trinity is, I just know the Lord as He has revealed Himself to me. Shalom.

Here are the Orthodox prayers for the morning. I’m not including the evening one because the structure is the same but some paragraphs change.
I’d like to get your thoughts on these prayers. Do you see anything you don’t like in here?
Theodokos - is the name referred to the Virgin Mary in Greek by the way.

Morning Prayers

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Glory to You, O Lord, glory to You.

O Heavenly King, O Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, who are in all places and fill all things, the treasury of good things and the giver of life: Come and abide in us, cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O Good One.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (x3)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, cleanse us from our sins. O Master pardon our transgressions. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Your Name’s sake.

Lord, have mercy (x3).

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be Your Name, Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on Earth as it is Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Morning Prayer to the Holy Trinity.

Arising from sleep, I thank You, O Most Holy Trinity, that, for the sake of Your great kindness and long-suffering, You have not had indignation against me, for I am slothful and sinful. Neither have You destroyed me in my transgressions, but You have shown Your customary love toward mankind, and have raised me up as I lay in heedlessness, that I might sing my morning hymn and glorify Your sovereignty. Now enlighten the eyes of my understanding, open my ears to receive Your words, and teach me Your commandments. Help me to do Your will, to sing to You, to confess You from my heart, and to praise Your All-Holy Name: of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; and in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-Begotten, begotten of the Father before all worlds, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father; by whom all things were made: who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried. The third day He rose again, according to the scriptures; and ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose Kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Psalms

Sunday ——— Psalm 5
Monday ——— Psalm 90
Tuesday ——— Psalm 101
Wednesday —- Psalm 3
Thursday ——- Psalm 63
Friday ———— Psalm 103
Saturday ——- Psalm 5

The Gospel and Epistle

Referring to the Lectionary in the back of The Orthodox Study Bible, you may, as time permits, read the Gospel and Epistle for this day.

Intercessory Prayers

Remember, O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, Your mercies and loving kindness, which have been everlasting, and for the sake of which You did become man and deign to endure crucifixion and death for the salvation of all of who rightly believe in You. You rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, and sit at the right hand of God the Father, and regard the humble prayers of all who call upon You with their whole heart. Incline Your ear and hear the humble entreaty of me, Your unprofitable servant, who offers it for an odor of spiritual fragrance for all Your people.

And first of all remember Your Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, which You have purchased with Your precious blood. Confirm and strengthen it, enlarge and multiply it, keep it in peace, and preserve it unconquerable by the gates of hell forever. Heal the schisms of the churches, quench the raging of the heathen, speedily unto and root out the growths of heresies, and bring them to naught by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon all world rulers, on our president [(name) Joe Biden], and on all civil authorities. Speak peace and blessing in their hearts for Your Holy Church and for all Your people, in order that we may live a calm and peaceful life, in all godliness and dignity.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon patriarchs, metropolitans, arch-bishops, priests, ministers and deacons and the whole clergy of Your Church, which You have established to feed the flock of Your word, and by their prayers have mercy upon me, and same me, a sinner.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon my spiritual father (name) and by his holy prayers forgive me my transgressions.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon my parents (names), my spouse (name), my brothers and sisters (names), my children (names), my kinsmen after the flesh, and my friends, and grant them Your blessings both here and hereafter.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon the old, the young, the needy, the orphans and the widows, and all that are in sickness and sorrow, in distress and affliction, in oppression and captivity, in prison and confinement. More especially have mercy upon Your servants who are under persecutions for Your sake and for the sake of the Orthodox Faith at the hands of heathen nations, of apostates, and of heretics: remember them, visit, strengthen, keep, and comfort them, and make haste to grant them, by Your power, relief, freedom and deliverance.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon all who are sent on duty, all who travel, our fathers, brothers, and sisters, and uptown all true Christians.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy upon those who envy and affront me, and do me harm, and do not let them perish through me, a sinner.

Those who depart from the Orthodox Faith, dazzled by destroying heresies, enlighten by the light of Your holy wisdom, and unite them to Your Holy, Apostolic, Catholic Church.

[Add any additional petitions]

Prayer for the Beginning of the Day

O Lord, grant me to greet the coming day in peace. Help me in all things to rely up0n Your holy will. In every hour of the day reveal Your will to me. Bless my dealings with all who surround me. Teach me to treat all that come to me throughout the day with peace of soul and with firm conviction that Your will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by You. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others.
Give me strength to bear the fatigue of the coming day with all that it shall bring. Direct my will, teach me to pray, and You, Yourself, pray in me. Amen.

It is truly right to bless you, O Theotokos, ever blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God. More honorable than the cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the seraphim, without defilement you gave birth to God the Word: true Theodokos we magnify you.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Lord, have mercy (x3).

Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, O Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us. Amen.

Should I follow them around the Board, telling them endlessly? My question was that if someone insists on believing a certain way, "How do you speak to a closed mind?" As far as what He said to me being a proverb goes, I guess I'm not the first person He'd spoken it to, though I'd never heard it before or heard of this Swift dude. - The word of the Lord once came to me and said, "All things are possible, if one only believes." I believed Him, after all, He has never lied to me.
I know all about Him speaking to us. I first heard Him speak when I was 24 and He revealed Himself to me as my Father....He recently spoke to me and said past, present and future co-exist....I had to meditate on that for awhile...
So hearing Him speak is something everyone has the ability to do if they will open their ears to hear.

He speaks to lots of people...He is so awesome that when He speaks to me, all I want to do is talk about Him. I think it's also like reliving it. I can't wait until it's all the time!
Time, I think, is His invention, like a clock. He's wound it up, let it go, and as usual, continues to exist in eternity.
I remember when He showed me His love for me. How special I was to Him. I'd always thought that I was worthless.
Me...weak, foolish, broken, last in line. Like if He had to do it again, He'd go to the cross again for any one of us. He is awesome!

Since there are no commas in Greek, the way it should read is "For us there is one God the Father." Which is true. And "one Lord Jesus Christ". Which is also true. And when the title "Lord" is placed before "Jesus Christ" it means He is God the Lord. So this establishes the Trinity. You can run but you can't hide.

1 John 2:22-24
[22]Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
[23]Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
[24]Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

au contraire mon frère
In use it mean God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Two Gods, well defined in the Gospels.
The Apostles knew there was a difference between God the Father and God the Son and usually when they closed there Epistles or Letters many times they would make that distinction. Referring to God the Father as God and God the Son as our Lord Jesus Christ. And Christ made this clear over and over again....God the Father is great than I. Do you think He was saying, I am greater than me. And He explains that He does the will of the Father....do you think He is doing His own will....Two distinct wills defined in the Gospels. Then you have My Father in Heaven....

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible. Ephesians 6:23-24

To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me send greetings. All God’s people here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Philippians 4:20-23

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. Brothers and sisters, pray for us. Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss. I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 1st Thessalonians 5:23-28

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly. I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you. Greet all your leaders and all the Lord’s people. Those from Italy send you their greetings. Grace be with you all. Hebrews 13:20-25

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2nd Peter 3:18

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1st John 5:19-20

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1st Corinthians 8:6

Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teachings of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teachings, he has both the Father and the Son. 2nd John 1:9

Christ Himself pointed out this distinction and hierarchy say, The Father is greater than I. John 14:28

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. John 1:18

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:50

To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen. Roman 16:27

In some of the verses Yeshua is referring to His Father in Heaven.

If a person can come away from the Gospels and not "get" that God Father, Yahweh and God the Son are two different Gods and are talking and referring to each other throughout the Gospels ....they need to go back to Elementary School for reading comprehension. Because they have failed bad!

The scriptures show us the essentials for establishing the credentials of a true prophet, as given through Moses, they are: (1)The true prophet would speak in the True God name; (2) The things foretold would come to pass (De 18:20-22); and (3)His prophesying must promote true worship, meaning, being in harmony with God’s revealed word and commandments (De 13:1-4). The third requirement was probably the most vital and decisive, for an individual might hypocritically use God’s name, and by coincidence, his prediction might see fulfillment. But the true prophet was not solely or even primarily a prognosticator, as has been shown. Rather, he was an advocate of righteousness, and his message dealt primarily with moral standards and their application. He expressed God’s mind on matters. (Isa 1:10-20; Mic 6:1-12)
So if prophets message contradicted God’s revealed will and standards, he was false. So a prophet who foretold peace for Israel or Judah, at a time when the people were engaging in disobedience to God’s Word and Law, that prophets message was false.. Jer 6:13, 14; 14:11-16.

You cannot blame them! Particularly if they do not read the Bible. There are people on here talking about mind control and robot control, well the one God formula for the Trinity, is the most massive, the most successful, and the most long lived mind control initiative in history. We have seen where they tried to change the scriptures to accommodate it. They can read the scriptures over and over again and they do not get it! Just static, like the people in a cult that give you that blank stare....

I am surprised they did not take out all the scriptures that prove it wrong. Re-write the Bible like the Jehovah's Witnesses did. Remove the My Father scriptures and the discussion of Christ doing the will of the Father....My Father's house....My Father in Heaven...This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased....Christ ascends to His Father....

Replace it with Me, Myself, and I.....Me, Myself, and I who art in Heaven.....This is Me, Myself, and I and I am well please with Me, maybe Myself, not sure about I. Me, Myself, and I do the will of Me, Myself, and I....Our Me, Myself, and I, who art in heaven, hallowed be our names; thy kingdom come; our will be done on earth as it is in heaven...Me, Myself, and I have a houses in Heaven....If you believe on Me, Myself, and I....Me, Myself, and I sit on one throne in Heaven....Crucify Me, Myself, and I!....The resurrection of Me, Myself, and I.

I just brushed up on what the doctrine of the trinity is. I've been out of the church for so long and that combined with such a mish-mash of conflicting doctrines, I wasn't sure what it was.
This site believes that God is one, and at the same time is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As long as one believes that there is no other name given under heaven by which one may saved, that name being Jesus, they are welcome here.
However, it is expected that those who do not hold to the doctrine of the Trinity be respectful of the majority who do...please!

And that is the rub....
There can be no person, place, or thing that starts with the letter J. It is all Y's and no one knows were the name Jesus came from.
Who do you think would want people to call upon the wrong name? Who do you think would want people not to know the name of the Savior or even God the Father? A Bible without the names of God the Father or God the Son. Who would want that? Who would support it?

I prefer Yeshua, since technically, that is His name, but since most here call Him Jesus, I have no problem with that. I have what is called respect for others. You should try it sometime.
"…2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;…" - Ephesians 4:2-4
"…2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.…" - Ephesians 2:2-4

This is straight from Christianity Boards Statement of Faith...
We believe that God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. We attest that God has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27, Genesis 3:22, Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 90:2, John 1:1, John 10:30, Romans 3:30, II Corinthians 13:14, I Peter 1:2)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a completely sinless human life and offered himself freely on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all, according to God’s plan revealed from the beginning. After three days, Jesus arose from the dead to demonstrate his power over death. He ascended to heaven to await his future return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 9:6-7, Matthew 1:22-25, John 1:1-5, John 14:10-30, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 1:3-4, I Corinthians 15:3-4, I Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:3, Hebrews 4:14-15)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son (Jesus). He is present in this world as an intercessor to make men and women aware of their need for Jesus the Christ. The Holy Spirit resides in every believer from the moment of salvation. He empowers the Christian with strength for living, understanding the truth, witnessing to others, and in doing what is right. (John 14:16-17, John 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12, I Corinthians 3:16, II Corinthians 3:17, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 5:18-21)

The name Jesus, from what I understand, came from the transliteration of a translation of the Hebrew word, "Yeshua."

That all sounds good..
The problem is that, those in a cult....feel exactly the same way. It is good to know the truth. There is no insult to that and no conflict to that.

And when you get down to the brass tacks of it all, if your calling on another name other than God, is it idolatry? Who would want that? So do these verses apply....My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20

Still good to know the names of God the Father and God the Son.
