Favorite Bible

On-line, I like the New King James Version.
My favorite physical Bible is my parallel Bible,

• KJV
• Amplified, Classic
• NIV
• NASB

(Song of Solomon might be a bit awkward... )

I do like the KJV, too...

I started on the NIV N/T, and came to faith in Jesus with it.

I read the NKJV now. The whole Bible capitalises references to The Lord, which has helped me ‘get’ certain references to Him in the O/T :)

From eternity, or everlasting, but NIV says from ancient times, suggesting from a created time :)

I am trying to decide what bible I will get... I have a NKJV but it is not just a bible.. it has a bunch of devotional messages in it... It's a Jesus Calling bible... and someone gave me a NASB Inductive Study Bible years ago... Sadly... I just find it WAY TOO INTIMIDATING to read it..
I would like to invest in a Parallel bible... I know that NKJV would be one of the translations... but no idea of the other... I do love the beautiful words that the Amplified shows... to ensure that a full and rich meaning is gleaned from the passage.

I would love to hear other thoughts. @historyb the comic book one looks WAY COOL.
