FALSE

You just parlayed one of Satan's lies
No, I was parlaying these many debating points of the scriptures interpreted one way as opposed to another--the cause of which is not Satan, but God. The point is, that we must choose, and so be judged (by Him).

My point, was not to continue to entertain Satan's imposed doubt by debating the understandings of men--but rather to understand and honor God, by not doing so. After which my intentions should not be known according to your understanding of Satan, but by the fact that I gave witness to the Truth by my actions and belief that only God can show what He showed to me (that anyone could see by the real physical evidence displayed simply by taking a public street with your eyes open (that anyone could see by the real physical evidence displayed simply by taking a public street with your eyes open). That cannot rightly be described as parlaying "one of Satan's lies."

Once again you're avoiding actually addressing any argument that shows the flat-earth position is both unscientific and unbiblical and, therefore, irrational.
There is no "argument." Rather bring your Holy Bible to the table.

Yeah so WHERE did the Lord tell us the earth is flat again?
What chapter and verse would that be exactly?
To the one who has hidden his/her profile, bring your Holy Bible to the table, lest you continue to starve.

So just to be clear... in your view do you believe one must think the earth is flat in order to be saved and go to Heaven?
An obvious slide, another red herring - anything to avoid facing the words of God.

But what is the context of those words from Job?
This David Lamb wants to know the truth. Like the majority, he, too, has been exposed his entire life to the documented lies of NASA et al, yet has chosen to act on his dis-ease.

[Job] is not a passage talking about the shape of the earth,
Why is a seal and clay integrated into the same passage? What is the lesson, David? Further, have you ever attempted to apply a seal to a spherical surface? A seal and clay work only with a flat surface.

My point, was not to continue to entertain Satan's imposed doubt by debating the understandings of men--but rather to understand and honor God, by not doing so.
Rather, this thread is constantly being diverted to the "debating the understandings of men" - it is scripturally threadbare but for a few truth lovers.

The context throughout the first two chapters of Genesis is about the sufficiency and completeness of creation at the voice of God:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth....Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them....And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Gen. 1:1, 2:1-3)

finished = accomplish, cease, end, complete, done, fulfill
ended = finish, accomplish, done, spend, determined, fulfil
rested = cease, desist from labor
blessed = kneel, praise, adore, salute
sanctified = consecrate, dedicate, holy

The context is abundantly clear. What is in view: sufficiency, completeness, a rest, a blessing, a sanctification, finality.

Also, God created the earth BEFORE he created the sun (Gen 1:1-19).

But what is the context of those words from Job?
Further, the analogy is clear re: our planar earth in the book of Job.

Note Job's utter inability to contend with God:

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it [the morning] might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it [the earth]? It [the earth] is turned as clay to the seal; and they [the wicked] stand as a garment. And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. (Job 38:12-15; square brackets are mine)

In the darkness of night (and remember, there were no street lights in those days), many of the earth's topographical features were hidden, only to be seen clearly, like clay under a seal, in the light of morning..
Yep. As the "dayspring" (light of dawn) exposes the wicked across a planar earth, likewise a pressed seal creates highlights on a planar clay surface that "stand" exposed to the light.

The exposed wicked are to be shaken out of the planar earth, and for that purpose the ends thereof are taken hold, as we take hold of the ends of a garment to shake the dust and moths out of it. Job had observed what a terror the morning light is to criminals, because it discovers them:

They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof. (Job 24:13).

More from Job's planar earth:

Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. (Job 38:18)

breadth = broad or wide expanse; broad place

Conversely (blasphemously), NASA demonstrably contradicts all of the above. The antichrist spirit behind NASA's religion wants to be worshipped as the most High in heaven:

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isa. 14:13-14)

Note the lust for debate, the context bleat and the fear of man:
Because when people fail to understand context, they are much more likely to come to a wrong conclusion about what the Bible says, as you and others in this thread do.
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. (Pro. 29:25)

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (2 Cor. 10:12)

And what of so-called "Christian" astro-nots? If they truly be followers of Jesus Christ, then:

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Cor. 6:14-18)

Are you truly a follower of Jesus Christ? If so, Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. (2 Cor. 4:2)

You are interpreting, without full consideration for all of scripture.

First, was everything finished on the seventh day of creation of this world--and nothing happened where God was working on the eight day and all the days to follow?

According to the rest of what is written--the biblical answer, is No. Which is because--according to the scriptures--it was all finished "before the foundation of the foundation of the world." Indicating, that the first seven days were rather a prophecy unto those who were yet to be born--a prophecy (or declaration) in hindsight, of things past and only now revealed.

In other words, everything was finished before the revealing even began. That is the biblical "context." "Truth lovers" ought to understand this--but if they all did, there would be no debate here. The fact that there is debate here, is evidence of a lack of understanding...regardless of some loving the Truth from God. But that itself does not make one "wrong." It just shows where they are in the revealing of "all truth" as it unfolds.

Then, it is important to understand that what is written and recorded on parchment, is not everything. That is not the only form of communication that God uses. In fact the scriptures, while being all that is needed for salvation, declares that much only to be "elementary principles." And we all should understand that the scriptures come under God's "confusing all language", and are subject to debate and spiritual discernment, while it is only the Spirit which is not. Meaning, all of scripture and every second-hand account, at face value, is no defense for anyone to claim what is actually true. And what do the scriptures say of testing the prophets? In general, or basically, that what is said should come to pass--which would disqualify most of what has been going on here. Which need not mean that we never debate--but rather means we should not expect our claims to be shown to be correct until God reveals the matter--which is were some try to show photos and use their own rationale to convince. But who among us has seen with our own God-given eyes what could be called "proof", without camera lenses or airplane windows, etc. possibly distorting the truth?

I gave my "proof." Who can do the same? Who can give witness without human means or intervention?

Show us a scriptural account of creation, less the bloviation, "where God was working on the eighth day".

Rather, NASA proclaims:
Discovering the Runaway Universe: Our Universe is not only growing, but that expansion rate is accelerating

You are interpreting, without full consideration for all of scripture.
Rather, you are spiritualizing - adding - without scriptural support.

I gave my "proof." Who can do the same? Who can give witness without human means or intervention?
That's a problem - it was your "proof" - sans scripture.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Tim. 3:14-17)

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. (Mat. 4:1-9)

The passage doesn't say upon the earth, but rather high beyond measure as a bird...not in so many words, but neither in the words you quoted...as it is subject to interpretation.
Rather, the context clearly indicates an earthly perspective. From the wilderness, to a pinnacle of the temple, to an exceeding high mountain - notice the relationship between the three earth-based features, as the tempter executes and escalates his strategy from an earth-based locale.

BTW, when comparing scripture with scripture, we find mountain appearing 65 times: mountain (41x), mount (21x) and hill (3x) - again, it's all based from the earth.

What planet was the high mountain on?
None. That is the point...or at least shows how off your own interpretation can be--because both that interpretation and the one you believe are both interpretations...and that was my point. I just looked up the words and gave other possible meanings that are also biblically defined.

I'll take that to mean you don't understand the full meaning of the creation account.
and
Yes, God is the great Spirituallizer, adding where there was nothing, and I do likewise.
and
No problem then.
No scriptures then.

I just looked up the words and gave other possible meanings that are also biblically defined.
They're not "biblically defined"; they are ScottA defined and void of context.

Your context falls short, as it does not consider "exceeding high" in defining the "mountain." Which, in biblical terms can mean "beyond measure"--even beyond what is common to this world. "Beyond." So...you're out of context. You "take away" part of what is written.

Why do you set limits on God--on what is "higher", and only consider part? Do you not know that to do so, is not biblical and against God?

Rather, your flesh "falls short".

exceeding = 14 verses [exceeding (5x), greatly (4x), very chiefest (2x), great (1x), sore (1x), very (1x)]

There's nothing there "beyond what is common in this world."

You add to "what is written."

Why do you set limits on God--on what is "higher", and only consider part? Do you not know that to do so, is not biblical and against God?
Ahhh, now you would resort to pettifogging and gaslighting.

You gave the scripture...
...and you didn't.

That is a lie. YOU were the one who broke (took away) from scripture and context.
Not by slur but by scriptural definition, a liar is one who speaks against the truth, as you have done. You have spoken against the revealed truth. And you have, as yet, no defense, as you remain without the word of God.

I simply provided the biblical information as it is written, defined not by me, but by the language it was written in.
You have provided no biblical information but the hubris of a deceiver.

You can deny what is written, but are not getting away with any of it. You're not fooling God.

And blaming me for everything you yourself have done, seals it.
