The first man to see earth from space said it was "a disk with upturned edges." The only other way I can see that is, if the earth is an oblate spheroid, then that means it is squat and flat on top which is what Piccard could have seen, leaving the the continents on the roundish bulge. We still have to explain why we can still see ships that have disappeared over the horizon with a telescope. If we are a globe then we should not be able to see them beyond six miles.This is what is so puzzling, there are some things that do support a flat earth.

It is the center of life physically and spiritually because it is the birth place of the Messiah. The earth is an oblate sphreriod which means it is not perfectly round like the other planets. That's false. I used to believe the earth was flat as well, but changed my mind after I looked into it more deeply, the earth is most certainly a sphere, like a ball.

If the earth is flat then why can't we see the sun at night when we can see the stars that are much further away?

When I used to believe in flat earth I decided to look into it more deeply. Almost every night I would go out to look at the stars, in particular the southern cross. Its close to the south celestial pole. I would track how it rotated over night and the difference in its positions throughout the year and concluded that the earth is a ball that is spinning, as the ancient Greeks and Egyptians did.

The southern sky appears to turn clockwise while the northern sky appears to turn anti clockwise. This is only possible if the earth is shaped like a ball and is spinning. It is not at all possible with flat earth.

I would wonder how everyone in the southern hemisphere can be looking south at the southern cross. This is not possible on a flat earth, only on a globe earth.



I would wonder why we can't see Polaris from the southern hemisphere and why they cant see the southern cross from the northernhemisphere. This is not possible on flat earth, only on globe earth.

I would wonder why we can't see the sun at night. This is only possible on a globe earth. If the earth was flat we would always be able to see the sun.



The early navigators knew the earth was a globe and navigated accordingly. They could not have done so if the earth was flat.

Same with pilots and ship captains. Why would they all be keeping such a secret, they all know the earth is a globe, not flat.

And why would every country in the world be lying to the people. There is no reason for them to do that. They all know that the earth is a globe and teach it in their schools.

Several countries have satellites spinning around the globe. Not over a flat earth. Why would they all be lying to the people.

So the evidence for globe earth is very strong. The evidence for flat earth is very weak. That's why I rejected the flat earth theory and came back to reality. The earth is a sphere, a globe, a ball. There is nothing to refute that. Only nonsensical thinking

But answer another question also: If there is an Ice Wall surrounding a Flat Earth and the Sun simply passes or circles above, how then do you explain a Green Flash on the horizon?

But being smaller the Moon appears the size it is by being closer, while being larger the Sun appears the size it is by being further away.
