For six years I flew every other week. Obviously, I have horror stories about flying. However I have one Christian story and one worst case. Worst case first.
Edmonton, Alberta Airport Hilton .... My room is on the far side of the hotel near the indoor pool. 3AM, the fire alarm goes off. I have a 5AM wake up call set ....I got up and walked to the lobby to find out why the alarm would not turn off. One other guy joins me in the Lobby. The desk is going nuts trying to figure out what was going on. I looked behind us and noticed smoke coming from under the door of the lounge. "Guys, do you think this has anything to do with the smoke here?" We were told to exit the hotel ...Edmonton, late February, snow on the ground. Pajama bottoms and tee shirt, house shoes on ....We stood in the cold with about 200 guests for two hours. Fire fighters satisfied about the fire and let us back in. 5AM, shower, pack and to the airport. The flight crew knew me and had a seat meant for the ordeal. Single seat, no one seated there. Stewardess put a blanket on me and said she would not check for a seat belt when we left. Thirty minutes from Tampa we hit thunder storms and we bounced our way in ...I was miserable ...
