Certainly men appoint men; and GOD appoints men. And it appears that in Jesus' case it was the latter, -- when Jesus completed HIS work on earth?
Bobby Jo :)
Thanks, Bobby, but the scripture I posted indicates that you become a priest from the law not from men as you suggest. And the son of God became a high priest from the oath itself. Men do not create high priests, the law and the oath do. One becomes a high priest when they obey the law. And Jesus never failed the law so he was already a high priest, but the oath also then.
It is a lie that men appoint leaders of the church and appoint to office a priest. The church of God is not man appointed. Men appointing men is a way for man to control the church of God and nothing else, it is a lie in my beliefs.Any church that uses men to appoint it's leaders is a false church in my opinion. Not that I don't belong and accept one of them, but it is a lie. We accept it because it's the best method to ensure nothing is creepy with your officials.
But they do it and it's not how God works. Look at Moses, God appointed, John the Baptist, God appointed, Joseph in Egypt, God appointed. God works thru the law and oath to accept priests. And he works with them, and that I testify. Look at the 12 apostles, God appointed, and when they needed another and God didn't appoint one what happened, they cast lots. Acts of the Apostles 1:23-26.
Thanks BobbyJo and much love!
