Well, there is that...I hope my friends have a lot of faith! Lol. Thanks bro!
What of a family member who holds grudges or bears false witness about you and lies to you? Even so, this family member does not in general ever own up to her own issues but always points the finger. I don't remember her ever taking responsibility for her lot in life. She will slap the olive branch from your hand every time, it's so very difficult to continue to try this over and over to no adieu. All it does is bring back all the negative feelings and the reminders of what she has done hence, I get upset all over again. The bible says to get along with all men, as far as it is up to you...I feel I have done my part so many times but have to back off as it brings nothing but sadness AND anger! HATE those emotions and do not wish to continue in this vein.

So, something just came to me.
The person who I received forgiveness for, never openly repented, yet in the moment i glanced at them, I knew they were tormented with guilt.
No words were needed.
I now believe that repentance is the 'trigger' for our forgiveness.
Still mulling it over :)

Excellent question, too many variables involved for a (so to say) scientific answer.

Variables involved, a top of my head, not meant to be complete :

. How deeply is a person hurt?
. How many rejections did a person suffer in his life?
. How about the self esteem of a person?
. How about the self esteem / identity who a person is in Christ?

We are commanded to forgive others like God has forgiven us in Christ, for some it's easy, for others it's a long process.

But as @Behold said, a good start is to be obedient to the Word and forgive the person in question, either silent in your mind or more powerful, but also more confronting, in speaking the words. You might feel sick to your stomach because you feel the opposite but you have showed the good Lord your intention. Keep on doing it and as time passes by, you are also healing yourself.

It can be a Calvinized forum member who leads you there.... or a Pastor...or a family member, or a neighbor, as Calvin's disciples are everywhere.. worldwide.

Listen, John Calvinism, is a Cross Denying Heresy, that spits on the Blood of Jesus.
How?
By teaching , as hyper-calvinists teach it, that God chooses some for Hell before they are born , and they are prevented by GOD from Trusting in Christ.
Thats a Satanic teaching......as it denies that God gave Jesus to the "world"......as John 3:16 clearly teaches.
