I have enjoyed intermittent fasting and would do it again to reach my goal if necessary.Hi Wynona
Have you tried intermittent fasting?
I wish I had tried it years ago, but I started fasting from 5.00 in the evening until 9.00 in the morning. Just having water , fruit tea or tea or coffee without milk or sugar after 5.00. At the moment I am trying to sort out pre diabetes so I have cut out many complex carbohydrates, but even before that I found that I was I was losing 1-2 lbs a week. Also there is a sense of being self controlled for those hours.
Since cutting out the carbs I have found I am losing weight slightly quicker. ( 5lbs this week )
Also try and work out why you are hungry because it may be emotional hunger rather than your body needing food. This is something I have equally battled with over the years. At the age of 67 I honestly do wish I had heard of intermittent fasting sooner. You can vary the time you start or for how long you fast 10, 12, 14, or 16 hours. You need to find what suits you but it does give you a Choice of not being really strict all the time, also I have days when I might go over the 5.00 deadline if I need to. It’s become a way of life now and I don’t get as hungry as I use to get xx
However I was combining it with a ketogenic diet. I was actually sending my body into starvation mode from lack of calories.
My husband and I went off the diet this week. I had stopped intermittent fasting by then.
As I get closer to my goal Im hoping that upping my exercise will help me not have to over restrict my calorie consumption. But I would do intermittent fasting again. Its really good for weight management.
