How do we know humanity was to live by a nature. First the only life Adam had was; created soul life, which is mind consciousness life. Adam did not live by a nature because he didnt have a nature when he was created. He was created a living soul, designed if you will - to live by the life of another (or a nature). Which would ultimately be the life of Christ. But Adam chose a nature that did not fit his creation and sin entered in by one man scripture says. How did sin enter in; by a nature - the nature Adam recieved in his fall. What is the fall? Sin entering into the world.
There is a scripture in Isaiah the says God created both good and evil. What is evil?
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. - Isaiah 45:7.
Sin is to do evil - if no one ever had did evil, then sin would not exsist in the world or anywhere else. But lucifer shot that down real quick being the doer of evil and deciding (in himself) to rebell against heaven and thinking I will be God now - I'll sit on the throne, I will be like the most high, I will, I will, I will. That didn't work and he was thrown out of heaven for doing a evil rebellous act of thinking he could replace God as God, and be like God sitting on a throne to rule and reign.
He walked to and fro in the earth (sounds lost) - until Adam. God did not create sin - he created evil. When lucifer chose to do evil and Adam disobeyed God; sin entered in by Adam's partaking of evil by disobeying God and doing exactly the thing he was not supposed to do.
Granted; he was living innocent with no idea about sin and evil and disobedience, or even good - he didn't even know he was innocent, as a little child. All Adam knew was? He was told not eat from this certain tree or he would die. That couldn't have meant anything to Adam either because there was no death anywhere around Adam and he did not know what death was. Death is simply; being separated - it means seperation.
What did Adam's nature do to him? in death, it separated him from the image and likeness of God. Adam probably didn't even know that. He knew nothing as far as how to live and move and have his being. He was innocent. Very intelligent as well as not knowing anything about life and living and having a life because he had no life other than his created soul life with God.
Look at how innocent a child appears - even though they have a sin nature now. Adam (before sin entered in) was that child with a high IQ. He was intelligent enough to name all the animals - which is an amazing feat on it's own. Most names of animals have in it something that has to do with the animals make up, I'm told anyway. So very intelligent was he - but you should watch your intelligence - we all feel we have some smarts. But just look at Adam and you can see what intelligence cost him and every one to be born after him.
