@Wrangler IF the connotation of the title “the Impaler” is good, IF it is desirable, IF it expresses the way that a Christian should think, teach, and act, IF it is beautiful and commendable in the eyes of God - would you object to being thought of as “Wrangler the Impaler”? Is that the way that you want me and others to think of you?

I hope I don't turn on the 11:00 news tomorrow and find out that multiple Muslim men, women, and children in Wrangler's town were found impaled through the anus and left to die.

Or Christians, since Vlad seemed to have been an equal-opportunity impaler.

@Wrangler told me yesterday in another thread, ”Jesus will kill Christians when he returns” and “we should model that demonstration.”

He’s convinced me that he wants to go Medieval on his enemies (including, but of course not limited to, Christians) but something - he hasn’t told me what (or who?) - is keeping him from doing it.

I’ve asked him but he’s saying that he’s had me on ignore for months.

Christian hero Prince Vlad, whose Dracula means order of the Knights of the dragon. ...Thoughts?

“I often asked the torturers, ‘Don’t you have pity in your hearts?’ They usually answered with quotations from Lenin: ‘You cannot make omelets without breaking the shells of eggs,’ and ‘You cannot cut wood without making chips fly.’ I said again, ‘I know these quotations from Lenin. But there is a difference. When you cut a piece of wood it feels nothing. But here you are dealing with human beings. Every beating produces pain and there are mothers who weep.‘ It was in vain. They are materialists. For them nothing besides matter exists and to them a man is like wood, like an egg-shell. With this belief they sink to unthinkable depths of cruelty.”

(Richard Wurmbrand, Tortured for Christ, p. 36)

Vlad is virtually synonymous with torture. He had no pity for his victims -> Muslims and Christians; males, females, adults, children, infants. He treated them like egg-shells and wood. He sank to unthinkable depths of cruelty.

You wrote to me yesterday, ”Jesus will kill Christians when he returns.

Who are they? They are people like Vlad: Christian in name only. They will hear Jesus say, “I never knew you.”

That brings me to you. I see Vlad, your hero, in you.

That brings me to the “boys and girls” that you’re pointing to Vlad.

You’re going down the path that leads to hearing “I never knew you” and you’re looking for people to join you.

And that brings us to the great commission and the mission field.

I implore you, turn away from Vlad. Turn to Jesus.

”Evil manifested” is an appropriate description of Vlad.
Vlad the Impaler | Evil Manifested said:
When he was eleven years old, his father took him and his brother Radu on a diplomatic mission to the Ottomans to secure the suzerainty. After arriving, the Ottomans took Vlad and his brother and held them as collateral for the next five years. This kept them as a bargaining chip against their father, guaranteed loyalty to do the threat of harm, and provided the Ottomans time to indoctrinate the two young men with Turkish customs and rule. Vlad and Radu were not happy about being abandoned by their father and held captive by the Ottomans. Though some historians have stated that they were treated well, educated, and brought up in Turkish traditions of strategy and nobility, others have outlined the probable sexual abuse by leadership and Imams that took place in addition to gradual mistreatment within the Ottoman court. These experiences fueled Vlad’s growing hatred of their captors and compounded his desire to push against them when given the chance.
The author is not-so-subtly implying that Vlad the Impaler was motivated not by Christian faith or love for his people, but rather was a psychopath acting out his rage against the Turks who sodomized him and the father who betrayed him. Hence his very distinct method of impalement.

@Wrangler, what motivates your fear and hatred of the Muslims?

I reject the premise of your question. Muslims are people who are more victimized by Islam than anyone else.
But you're advocating killing and torturing people, not ideas, not religious tenets. People. Even people whose ideas and religious beliefs might possibly match your own. People.

The video touches on an important issue today. Which is the poor role models of men and fathers in God. This was how boys would become men in the faith. They were given a responsibility which they were born to do and fullfill.

A husband lays down his life for his wife. A leader cannot be a leader unless they first lead their own family. The father taught the son and this reflected Christ and His father and the church as the bride. That men lay down their lives for their family and the church.

I have always found turning the other cheek a hard value. I know its not about cowering down to someone or being weak. Its being strong in that it goes against the grain of wanting to seek revenge or react back in the same manner. It is true that this teaching is for each Christian. Its a challenged to sacrifice ourselves when we want to do things our way. That we may strengthen our faith to be transformed in the spirit.

You don't think people thrown in the Lake of Fire are killed and tortured?

I’ve been reading you for many years now, so what I’m about to say isn’t based only on what you’ve written in this thread.

When you see Vlad the Impaler, you really do think you see Jesus. This isn’t a “let me get their attention by shocking them” gimmick. You‘re telling your readers exactly what you sincerely believe. You don’t want them to be shocked. You want them to be enlightened. You don’t want them to push back. You want them to embrace you.

Vlad the Impaler; torturer and killer of Christians (and non-Christians) = Jesus of Nazareth; torturer and killer of Christians (and non-Christians)

What you don’t realize is that when you see Vlad the Impaler, you are seeing the devil imcarnate.

That is alarming. There isn’t a person on the face of the earth I wouldn’t do everything in my power to help who sees the devil and thinks he or she is seeing Jesus.

There is only one person on this forum at the moment who I think might really be able to help you. Unfortunately, that person has made no effort, at least publicly, to do it.

What about your readers? I don’t think the average person sitting in the pew on Sunday morning wants his or her children to grow up to be Vlad the Impaler, but I concede that there may be some. And so I actively (if you have learned nothing else from me, I hope you have learned this: pacifism is active, not passive) stand against you on the off chance that I by doing so I may help them.

Sound words. Well said. Loud (but not too loud) and clear. You see the danger and sounded an alarm. (A lot of people should have sounded an alarm. Only a few have.) You have his best interest in mind.

Your alarm fell on deaf ears.

You still did the right thing. Well done. I believe Jesus is pleased with you. I expect that one day you’ll hear him say so directly to you himself.

To quote you, “You are a stubborn man.”

Vlad was evil. Followers of Jesus must reject evil.

”Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.”

(Romans 12:17, NLT)

Paul does not view torturing people as something which is honorable.

God's ultimate solution to the problem of evil is to annihilator all who are evil in a Lake of Fire. He won't even let the dead lie. The dead will be raised just to be judged. That is Bad Ass righteous use of violence with no parallel.

God is righteous. Vlad was wicked. The destiny of the wicked is the Lake of Fire, the place of destruction.

Prince Vlad… Thoughts?

Vlad hasn’t been canonized by the Catholic Church. Have you ever wondered why he hasn’t been?

AI Overview -

“Vlad the Impaler is not canonized by the Catholic Church because his extreme cruelty, mass executions, and violent political methods completely contradict the church’s requirements for Christian holiness and virtue.

Reasons for No Canonization

• Extreme Violence: He killed tens of thousands of people by impaling them on wooden stakes, which violates Christian moral law.

• Lack of Virtue: Saints must live a life of heroic virtue, love, and a good moral example, whereas Vlad was known for his brutal sadism.

• No Process for Sainthood: The church never received or investigated any claims that he lived a holy life or showed true sorrow and a change of heart for his violent acts.

Religious Background

• Eastern Orthodox Roots: Vlad was raised as an Eastern Orthodox Christian in Wallachia, meaning any potential review would traditionally fall outside standard Catholic processes unless he formally converted later in life.

• Political Conversion: While some historical records suggest he briefly aligned with Catholicism during political alliances in Hungary, his lifestyle remained focused on warfare and harsh rule rather than spiritual grace.”

As you probably know, Vlad also isn’t canonized by the Eastern Orthodox Church.

They haven’t made him a saint. You have. You ought to think about that. So should your readers.
