God chose us but why? Because God knows we will chose Him.

Yes and? Gods desire is that all would be saved. but even Jesus said the most will follow the path tro destruction.

Paul said ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god.

None of this has naything to do with the question of election v. free will.
