Hi,
This came to me while I was sitting in church this morning!
There are 3 different ideas with the same biblical principle in each!
First one is here:
Christians are called to be "salt and light" -Matthew 5:13-16. However we can become too "salty" and become a "dead sea". The reason why the dead sea is dead is that salt water is flowing into it but nothing is flowing out, the water evaporates and the salt concentration goes up and up until it becomes dead, nothing can live in it!
Second one is here:
A rechargeable battery can be overcharged which leads to decreased capability or battery failure!
Third one is here:
When water is stagnant (not flowing) all kinds of bacteria and diseases and slime grow in it and it is not safe to drink, however when water is flowing it tends to be clear and safe to drink!
Fourth one is here:
If electrical current is flowing both in and out of a battery at the same time this is a complete circuit and the current can then power something like a light bulb, however if electrical current is not flowing in and out of a battery at the same time this is a "short-circuit" and this stops the flow of electricity. Just like this if God's power is flowing into us but not out at the same time this is a spiritual "short-circuit" and it stops the flow of God's power!
Different ideas, same principle in each! This means something but it escapes me right now, but it may be the hand of God on creation!
