In the past 10 years, the United States has seen a huge influx of disastrous events. Now there must be a motive and a reason for this.That reason is that God is in control. He won't let this nation sink any further into sin without punishing it. All of these hurricanes, terrorist attacks, fires (California fires), floods, and earthquakes are punishments from God. We've gone from a God fearing nation to a far left gay loving, God hating, country.For goodness sakes, we could have irrigated the entire North Africa for the price of one of our moon landings. For the price of our battle ships, we could have sent and raised millions of missionaries. And instead of fighting with weapons, we could have fought with God's word.The current punishment we are in is probably the economic recession. I wouldn't be surprised if something worse does happen real soon. Honestly, the United States is Rome. >.>

There is a saying here and maybe in the US as well that the world is a reflection of the church. Jesus said we are salt and light amd just maybe the church has lost its savor and the light is not very bright.I read an article that said amongst other things that about 55% of pastors in the US divorce. Not exactly a good example for the world.There is a denomination here that has a power struggle going on at the top between two sets of management teams. Another denomination is ordaining practicing homosexuals. Perhaps the same is happening there. One word that has been dropped from our vocabulary is 'holiness'. This is essential if we are going to see a church that reflects his nature. The scripture talks about the creation 'groaning' for the revelation of the sons of God. It may be that a church that is not a church is affecting nature and creation and sin in the garden has had a detrimental affect on it as it is decaying daily as a result. In Genesis, people lived until they were 1,000 years old. Today we are lucky to make 80. Nothing prospers under sin.
