Perhaps related from one given eyes to see and ears to hear. Long ago I was invited to a Baptism of a young man that was in prison. He was going to Baptised in a river by a friend of mine who did prison ministry. The young man accepted Christ and now wanted to be Baptised. On that day, we met at my friends house. I soon found out that the transportation to the river was limited and that I would be riding on the back of a motorcycle. To be honest when I got on the back of the bike I was a little scared. I then heard, "my son, I have not given you a spirit of fear". After that, a peace, came over me. When we got to the river, as I was standing by the river and things were about to start, I could perceive(feel) the presense of The Lord just above the river. I knew that He was waiting patiently. Before the young man went down into the water he confirmed his belief(faith) and when he was raised from the water it was if he became anew. I looked at his eyes and they had changed, they looked pure and I knew at that moment he was clean. The one thing I will never forget is on the ride back. They put this young man in the back seat of a car and I was on the back of the bike again. There was one time I saw this young man(a stranger) leaning forward to see me on the back of the bike and our eyes locked. What I saw, was as if for a moment, my Father looking at me, through this young mans eyes with so much love, it melted my heart. I also knew, even though this young man was a stranger, that now that his journey had begun, that there would be many thing coming against him in the journey ahead. But I also knew that He whose eyes I was allowed to see, would never leave him nor forsake him. This is what I was allowed to see about a true baptism of The lord.
