I believe in ghosts.

John 19 : 30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Luke 23 : 46
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having saying this he gave up the ghost.

Mark 15 : 37
And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

Matthew 27 : 50
Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

How great thou art. Thank You.

The Bible is much more specific with regard to the purpose and origin of "ghosts".

While the pages of the Bible including all it's various translations use the word 'ghost' interchangeably with the word 'spirit', it is much more specific as to the origin, purpose and destiny of non-corporeal entities.

The secular world has only one definition and context for the word 'ghosts'. According to secular tradition and testimony, ghosts are manifestations of non-physical entities. Such manifestations usually appear in the form of visible objects, smells, sounds, sensations of presence such as chilly air, indirect movement or effect upon immaterial objects.

I personally class all such manifestations under the general category of BAIT.

Like a worm on a hook, these things cause unusual curiosity in humans. If 'hooked' the human will find it extremely difficult to escape from the growing influence of the spiritual entity upon its physical life, it's mind and it's ability to react freely in the world.

All such entities are a form of spiritual parasite. Unless guided and protected by God, all interest in them should be avoided.

par·a·site
noun
1. an organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment.
2. a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others.
3. (in ancient Greece) a person who received free meals in return for amusing or impudent conversation, flattering remarks, etc.

A spiritual parasite (ghost or spirit) fastens itself upon a living human and forces the human to perform its lusts. The human may not be aware of this influence in the beginning. As it becomes more pronounced, awareness becomes inevitable as well as the sense of the impossibility of escape or release. Premature death usually results from the abuse to the human body caused by these parasites.

Apart from salvation in the name of Jesus Christ and the help of the Holy Spirit, there is no possibility of escape from these influences.

Are you saying Jesus gave up a "spiritual parasite"?
