Romans 6:7 (NASB)
for he who has died is freed from sin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘he who has died’
In these four words is the secret of walking in newness of life... Until the meaning is opened up in the heart so one sees what the truth of these four words mean they will struggle with these words... They do mean exactly what the common understanding of the words themselves mean..
‘he who has died’
Our salvation is a free gift from the God of love to mankind... It is open to all that would have it... By wanting it, it is received.... The same way is the walking in newness of life received, by the wanting of it...
It is here that God works in the life so one might want this new life offered in the time of this life... One comes to Christ to be saved from the consequences of sin, which is all well and good, it is where one is to start... But now one is to be freed from those very sins.. First the gross and outward sins.. Than the subtle sins of covetousness, envy, pride, wrath, all which is wrapped up in the words, own will...
For righteousness is the only will done in Heaven in all things... So till righteousness is the only will sought after in ones life they will not be living up to what the salvation in Christ has brought them.. Which in a nut shell is freedom from themselves....
Which is all brought to one by the faith of the heart wanting it...
Yes, he who has died is free... Free from all things... It is here that all is appropriated from God by faith...
To trust God with ones life, from top to bottom, from in to out...
This faith, this desire given leave to grow will bring the fruit of that desire in short order... If one keeps wanting it through the storms that are sure to come in ones heart telling them it can’t be that simple...
But it is...
For one has died and there life is hid with Christ in God....
Believing it, sees the fruit of it...
