Genesis 2:16-17 KJV
16) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17) But
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:6 KJV
6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her;
and he did eat.
Genesis 3:11-12 KJV
11) And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12) And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and
I did eat.
Romans 5:12-14 KJV
12) Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14) Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of
Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
God commanded Adam not eat from the tree, and he did eat. By Adam's transgression, sin entered the world.
Are you thinking that disobeying God might not be sin?
Much love!
