Could it be it's as simple as talking to God? I've always thought prayer felt nice, kind of like mediation. But there's this voice that does an amazing job of convincing me that no one is listening.
I sometimes have these lucid moments. Moments where I feel like I can see who I'm supposed to be. Who God wants me to be. I dunno. I just felt like sharing.
Hi
@Riven.
Prayer is as simple as talking to God and part of having a relationship with him, and you don't have to have the right words or some special feeling for him to hear you.
I understand what you mean about that voice trying to convince you that no one is listening. When those thoughts come, take them to God rather than accepting them as truth. Scripture tells us,
“The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:18
Those lucid moments you mentioned are worth paying attention to while also testing them against scripture. Sometimes God can bring something into our understanding that gives us a glimpse of who he is calling us to become. As you grow in him, you'll learn to recognize his voice more clearly.
Jesus said,
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27
Even when we don't know how to pray, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with wordless groans, and God, who searches the heart, knows the mind of the Spirit. Romans 8:26-27
Keep talking to him, Riven. Even when you don't feel anything, keep talking. Faith isn't dependent on a feeling. God is there, and he hears you.

I'm off to sleep now, brother. I've had a long day beginning at 2.30am for prayer. Have a nice night. I will be praying for your grandma when I wake up for prayer tomorrow morning.

Bless you xox
