Homemaking is both a duty and a privilege to be thankful for. Having a thankful attitude turns chores into worship and keeps the work from being just drudgery to put off.

Its good to say "I get to fold clothes" rather than "I have to..". Because God has given us clothes to wear, we can be thankful.

I hope I can lead our kids by example and not just by command. I hope they see someone worth imitating in me.

Above even homemaking and doing the practical things excellently, we must invest in our relationship with the Lord.

Make shorter prayers throughout the day through busy seasons. Seek his face in private when the opportunity arises. Listen until you can hear what He wants you to know.

Keep your heart thankful by focusing on what you have rather than what you lack.
You can thank God as you fold clothes. Thank Him for providing the clothes and the means to have them. You can learn to be content in all circumstances like Paul. Let the bumps and grievances of this life sanctify you in your attitude.

Sometimes my nervous system gets a bit stressed. Then I might

-sing an uplifting song or Scripture
-reduce multitasking and focus on one thing at a time
-listen to classical music
-send up a super short prayer for help
- start breathing in and out slowly

Sometimes my nervous system gets a bit stressed. Then I might

-sing an uplifting song or Scripture

My home making skills are improving.
-I sweep the floor
-wash the clothes
-hang the clothes out to dry
-bring the clothes in
-fold the clothes
-clean the ablution facilities
-do the shopping
-make the meals
-eat the meals
-make the bed
-mow the lawn
-do the gardening
-repair the machinery
-collect the fallen coconuts
-pray that the coconuts don't fall while I'm collecting the fallen ones
-be thankful I've been missed by every falling coconut
-service and clean the car, the boat, the motor cycle and the generator and other electricity producing infrastructure
-climb the mountain to check on the water line
-make certain the holes in the water supply line which the rats have chewed are fixed
-refrain from swearing when I hit my thumb with the hammer
-keep christianity board participants entertained
-sing out loud
-entertain strangers
-visit community members
-admire the wildlife visitors ie, cassowaries, monitors, a selection of birds, watch the wild turkey's strut and the forest chickens scratch
-wash the diapers...What! nahhhh nahhhh, that one's over and done with

The going gets tough sometimes at home. Let us humbly submit to God's sanctifying work in our lives. He is turning this momentary suffering into an eternal weight of glory in heaven.

Thoughtfulness towards others can make homemaking feel more like the blessing it is. Baking goodies and sending them out, writing thoughtful letters. giving handmade gifts, etc.

Sometimes I struggle with fear and anxiety because I was not raised to be a homemaker and have had to work hard to overcome the challenges of that.

However, I want to have more of a Spirit led lilies of the field mindset when it comes to this. I want to pray rather than worry, casting my anxieties on God. Jesus knew when and where to do things through the Spirit. I want to know when and what to do in my home through the Spirit.

The glorious LORD is our hope and our salvation dear sister .
raise those childrens in the way of Christ
JESUS . And let us worry not over the morrow . Focus today on doing the work of the LORD . And ye shall find great peace .
He whose mind is stayed upon the LORD has peace .
