Did Jesus give the order too kill women and children?
Behold the goodness and severity of God:

Rom 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

We might reflect on what happened to Ananias and Saphira.

As well as the parable of the vineyard and what happened to those who rejected the householder's Son:

Matthew 21:40-41
When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

(to the Jew first in 70 AD, then will be to the Gentiles who reject Him)

Remember that God created the Destroyer for a purpose. Vengeance belongeth to God, and He WILL repay.

Those who hold to a new age kumbaya kind of belief, I can't help but wonder what planet they are living on......just open your eyes and look around at the state of this suffering and miserable world that currently lies under wrath....this is like a foretaste and warning of what is to come, and seems to me it is gaining momentum now.

Please don’t rain down fire on me. I’m not fire proof!
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Do you believe there was any light prior to Jesus?

Or maybe I should say a vail over the heart. Till the operation of God.
the only veil they had was the mystery that the Christ would also be the suffering servant.. They thought Christ came to rule. not to saved.. which is the mystery God used in the OT..

The gospel of salvation by faith has been proclaimed since Adam

Just because truth is present doesn’t always mean it’s comprehensible?

John 1:4-5 KJV
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
