Lack of faith in God’s love is the common cause for all these enslavements. When we have doubts about God’s love we get anxious and worried. This makes us selfish. Furthermore, when we do not have faith in God’s love, we try to solve our problems by ungodly or hateful ways- such as: law suites, war, divorce and revenge. On the other hand, if we trust in God’s love; we know that His love can solve all the problems in the world. We will, therefore, solve our problems by forgiveness, mercy, compassion and self-sacrifice. Furthermore, if we believe that only God’s love in our heart is the true treasure we have; and also believe that no one can take this treasure away from us; then, we will feel secure and be free of anxiety, worries and selfishness. Furthermore, if we trust God we can be generous with our time and resource in helping others, because, then, we would not be worried about our own needs.

Most never find the freedom that the gospel of God's grace gives them because they are constantly told that their faith is dead unless they have works.When they believe this then they feel they must go out and do good works by their own will. Instead of being led by God they are out in front of Him. They never know if they are doing eough good works and therefore never find the peace that God's plan of salvation offers. They never realize that the true child of God is held by God's power, not their own. Their faith becomes faith in what they do, not what God has already done.

surrendersacrifice, The freedom mentioned in scripture is not ABSOLUTE. The freedom mentioned by Jesus and Paul was the freedom from sin and death. Jesus said that if we remain in his word, we will know the truth and the truth will set us free, John 8:31,32. By us putting out faith in Jesus' Ransom Sacrifice, God no longer charges our sins to us, but to Jesus, who is the propitiatory sacrifice for our sins, Heb 10:17,18, 1John 2:1,2, Matt 20:28, Rom 4:7,8, 8:1,2.
