Hi everyone, i need help. How do you make the evil of others not destroy your self-esteem? For example at work, with people who mistreat you every day? A boss, co-workers. "Justice, justice will persecute so that you can live and inherit the Earth" (Deuteronomy 16.20) (?). I'd appreciate your answers.

The Apostle Paul writes:
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" Rom 8:31-32
The question you may ask when you read Paul's words, is how can you can be sure that God is on your side. How about asking for help?
And Jesus says:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" Matt 7:7-11

The entire 8th chapter of Romans gives me strength when I go through such dilemmas. Esp. Verse 28.
I do still have it in the 'my content' area. It was last Friday around 11:30. Also 'breathofdesire' had post #2 and mine was #3. His is gone also.

I checked your page and found it...it as you say is still there!!
...when I clicked on it , it also shows the other guys post also. You are right!!
But on clicking on it neither Iforrest or Amadesus' posts show up!!! ...maybe there are two look alike threads?

Our self esteem is so affected by our work. So we naturally want to do the best we can at our work. But also, as a Christian, my self-esteem, my value, my self-worth, is secondary to me being a child of God. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves, I am not important because my boss says I am. Because that can change daily. I am important because I am important to God.
That said, sometimes the situations get to where you cannot endure them. I have endured a job for six months which was literally hell. And God got me through it. But it came to the point where it was no longer worth it. It was unbearable. So, I moved on, and God opened the door to another.
I pray and hope God will give you some relief.

another perspective is that you are as of the world as it gets, if you are working for money to buy food like everyone else, not necessarily disagreeing with you though

I too have had problems finding other peoples posts or even if I want to read up on what I had written to better answer someone else, I have not been able to find it...I am not sure how that happens ? Hope you find it...
Please...this is of a more serious nature than I just can't find other peoples posts. I posted something and it has been removed for some reason. The proof that it was there has been shown by others. So...why was it removed? I have sent a message to the forum asking what has happened. I have received nothing back.
I can put up with a whole lot on a forum. What I can't put up with is manipulation of what some one is saying. Another word for that is lying. A forum has credibility only to the degree that it is honest with those who post here. Once it is dishonest, it loses all credibility. So, why no explanation to where my and another's post went?

It has to be a tech blip. I am sure it is not being done purposely. I really don't see how it could be.
I have been one of the Mods on a different site for years now.
When a post is deleted it is deleted everywhere.
The fact that it vanished from this thread, but I could find it on your profile page ( and re-posted it for you) shows that no Mod or Admin deleted it.
If they had of done, it would have also vanished from you personal profile posting list , but it was still there.
So I am not sure what is happening, but I don't believe it is being done by any person. I think there must be a glitch when you or a person hits "post reply."
Hoping it is short lived..

I too have encountered this....At times I go looking for something I have already read but want to re read, and I can't locate it, sometimes other peoples posts and sometimes my own ones, both for when I want to refresh my memory of what was written....It can be quite frustrating, because I know they WERE there, so is someone playing at being funny by shuffling some around, or is it a glitch of some sort ?
I certainly don't have neither the programming smarts or hardware smarts to even begin to know where to look lol ???
Can perhaps the Moderators help with this?? How do we even ask them to ??

I wouldn't know how, but because I don't know, too many different sections....I have trouble still navigating the forum. ByGrace has been a great help, she really knows her way around.. Hope you figure it out, as that is not right....It should not have happened..
