My day was kinda rough.
Went back to the doctor cause the antibiotics didn't do the trick so I got new scripts and TWO shots in the backside.
Did get the shingles but I'm gonna need to cut them. Found some siding planks but they were sold out. Uggghhhh.
Ahh ! I was confused at first I thought you had shingles the virus ! I thought cut the shingles o_O . I feel for you roofing is no fun .
The peas I grew in my garden. Hadn't grown green peas since I was a teenager. Loved the fresh green peas then...so I thought these would be great....they weren't that sweet and were kinda woody. Dunno if I picked them too early, too late, or did I not water them enough or what went wrong....and these are supposed to be a super sweet variety.

All that work for a handful of peas and then they weren't that good. Uggghhhh. Maybe I live too far south. Don't know.
Sugar snaps is what we have grown in here in north Alabama so TN should be fine for green peas but they have to be planted early and the weather has to stay mild but that is what we have had . Not sure what your problem could have been exactly .
Just bummed....but walking pneumonia will do that to a person too.
I have participated in that malady more than once , my lungs are compromised some what . So I do understand the pain it is , prayers for you brother .

I live in the middle of nowhere SC GA now. Moved and retired....now I got pecan trees (9) not all producing, a grape arbor (2 out of 4 producing this year which is not bad for its second year) an herb garden on the back deck (scheduled for demolition) and a little side yard garden plot and one going behind the back deck. (Had shallots and garlic in it.....shallots did a little (really not great) but garlic was crap...all unusable. The ginger I tried also failed. Unusable too. Tomatoes in the place where I grew the peas last year did a little....but really not enough. That plot of garden has been very difficult. I put 8 or 9 bags of garden soul into the dirt and worked it all by hand. Fertilized the stew out of it. Still poor results. It gets good sun and between rain and watering....dunno what I'm doing wrong. Everything in the plot is not thriving and being so difficult. So many weeds too. They grow well. Threw a ton of lime on the peas too. (They like a base soil....little more base than neutral vx acid)

Dunno about some of this stuff....hit and miss with what does ok and what doesn't.
But it's not so much the destination as the journey right?

So we'll see what happens. Got tomatoes, peppers and some tea to plant. Oregano can't be killed but it's trying to escape its planter. I'm going to whack it for the pesto.
Fresh herbs pesto is something that you can easily get addicted to. My breakfast sausage is notorious for being addictive.(fresh sage makes the difference) So is my herb pasta. Fresh herbs are NOTHING like dried. Nothing whatsoever.

Horrible. I was abducted and thrown into a windowless white van by a group of mimes.

They did unspeakable things to me.

Couple of questions . Does the county you live in have a County Extension Agent ? They can tell you what plants will grow in your area and give you other plant tips .
Have you did a soil test ?
Where I live it is a sandy loam soil which is almost perfect for gardening , just amend the soil as necessary and good stuff happens .

My wife has suggested the same thing....we got an extension office but it's in the next county. (Ours is a very small county)

Since our house and lot is 130 years old. I got a feeling that it is just overfarmed and contaminated for decades and is just in crap shape. People pour out junk on the ground without regard for the future. "Its mine and I can do as I want" is the thought, never once considering that even if I do own it I'm just a steward of God's land.
