The entire Russian military is inexperienced. The only experience are generals. And what exactly does that experience come from? Afghanistan, years before the US took over. That's a long time without a war to gain experience from. That's why you see generals on the front and generals becoming causalties ....Russia will run out of criminals and actual battlefront experience before anyone else.
China used the method of running out of bullets in Korea. The first attacks on American lines were every fifth person a military soldier, the other four were civilians with farm tools. The idea was to cause American lines to expend ammunition and heat the machine gun barrells to a point that they could not fire anymore. Eventually the charging line would be every other person in uniform ....or every person. Part of the China problem? The US had learned from Germany to switch barrells and continue the rate of fire.

American advisors to Ukraine has been urging Selensky to give up Bakhmut for now. It has no strategic value and Russia has not the professional personnel nor material left to exploit any breakthrough they may make there anyway. Ukraine is gearing up for Crimea.
