Reading through this thread, and listening to the song at the end has been a blessing to me. Thank you for starting it.
In bed last night I opened my Bible to the account of Jonah, and read of his attempt to flee the presence of God, and of the storm that God engendered to turn him around and cause him to walk in obedience to His will. When I had read it, I asked God to show me what He wanted me to receive from the reading, and fell asleep with it on my mind. This thread has brought it back, and I remember waking this morning with the thought of David and his words in Psalm 139:-
'Whither shall I go from Thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall Thy hand lead me,
and Thy right hand shall hold me.'
(Psalm 139:7-10)
Praise God!
You already have all spiritual blessings, in Christ Jesus
But I pray that you will be truly blessed as you wait on Him today.

Hurricane Laura made landfall last night as a Cat 4 storm. It was downgraded to a Cat 3 at 4 am.

Thanks for the prayers. Apparently I snored through the entire thing, LoL. Slept very soundly. But my wife and all her Facebook friends were terrified, and up all night talking about how it sounded like tornadoes were touching down in the backyard.
We escaped a bullet. Could have been much worse.

I'm sure you know that tornadoes are often embedded in hurricanes. But a Cat 4 is so strong that it may sound like a tornado!
stay safe and i agree we should keep praying for those in the path of this huuricane
