I am mad, I am betrayed by many, I hurt, I am depressed. I and many others prayed and you know what we got bupkis, that's what we got. I am sick and freak-in tried of people giving verse after verse after verse as if that will help anything. I am sick of people quoting verse about the end times. I am SICK OF IT ALL!

We pray and pray, nothing happens in most cases. I have prayed consistently to get healed, bupkis again. I prayed for a wheelchair van for four frakin years, my Church prayed but still it took four years. I prayed so my parents wouldn't die yet they did six hours apart. Every time I took it to prayer and I just prayed in thanksgiving many times. So now we put all our trust in God, prayed to Him and nothing. Millions of people prayed for the right thing to be done and nothing.

Don't tell me prayer works anymore. To be a Christian is to court massive disappointment

Now might not be the best time to be giving you advice, since you may not be wanting to hear any right now, but I know in the case of the election it would have taken far more prayers than just yours. The entire church needed to get serious before God, and I've never seen that happen in my entire lifetime of 56 years, which is why I was warning everyone repeatedly that things were likely not going to turn out well. I can't speak to your other situations, but I know in the case of the election I wouldn't be too hard on myself as if I hadn't done enough. I think many Catholics in particular betrayed a pro-life President and instead chose to vote for a proponent of infanticide, so it goes without saying most of them likely didn't pray.

But just relax. I believe very strongly He answers prayers, but they have to be in keeping with His will. That's where the real rub comes in.

Thank you for responding. I saw a video of a Priest giving a sermon where he was telling the congregation about what they could expect and at one point he yelled "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" It was a very powerful sermon now of course I can't find it :)

HB, God gave you feelings and passions. Honor what you're feeling! Don't quash it or feel ashamed!
I've found God knows I'm human. ;) When I get really upset about something I think is outside my control, I vent! I think God leads us to feel even as you do now so that when it is time we'll maybe see the bigger picture.

I remember this line from Lethal Weapon. Roger was speaking aloud and complaining about having Riggs as his partner. God hates me that's what it is.
To which Riggs replies, Hate him back! Works for me!
What viewers didn't know at that point in the movie nor until a later sequel, Riggs wife had run off the road on a rainy night and drowned. He was suppose to be driving the car but was caught up at work, or it would have been he that died.

Look, God is Sovereign. He's not even a he, God is spirit. And knows everything and is everywhere at the same time. (Omniscient, Omnipresent).
There's nothing you can feel nor that reason behind those feelings, that God doesn't understand.
