No they don't believe that. They believe, as the bible says, that all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are saved. They don't claim to know whether the number saved will be the majority of the human population, or a minority. God has not told us who will be saved, or how many.

No, simply trying to correct your mistaken understanding of what Calvinists believe. They do not believe that God forbids the majority from being saved, as you said. They believe that all who truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are saved.

That is just untrue. As I have tried to explain, Calvinists get their doctrines from the bible. All the Calvinistic statements of faith I have ever seen are full of bible references for every statement they make. Please, stop telling other people what they believe. Instead, take note of what Calvinists themselves say they believe.

The thread question is very simple and makes for a good discussion. But the rest of your above posts contents left me not sure of your intentions, like maybe I should close my eyes and point at just one thing on the list, like flipping the pages of the Bible and pointing to a verse at random hoping God would make the proper selection for me

As for the simple question of following Christ and what is really meant by it, a lot of the things you listed would perhaps be included. But I prefer a simpler approach--like He did with The Lord's Prayer--of summarizing what He himself did while saying "follow Me." Which I would summarize like this:

Living first under father and mother, listening, learning, working, and studying the scriptures; then seeking God expecting Him to answer according to His promises and what is written; which means our discovering Jesus as the Son of God sent to lead us into all truth, and coming to know that He died for our sins against God which caused our being separated from Him and eternity to ultimately die, and our salvation and ability to regain all that we had lost through Him--by believing in Him. And then--and this is the part yet to be fully considered by most--to lay down our life (our worldly and fleshly existence) and living by His directions and in His service...being prepared to leave all and ascend to God in spirit only--where we shall forever be.

One paragraph. Or even more abbreviated further, like this:

Live life and learn and study as if preparing for a trip. Seek God and His Son will guide your steps. And in this way, follow Him: Live and work all things for good according to the gifts He has given you, ready to depart leaving your body (of flesh) and all this world behind, according to the promises of all that is greater in God, in spirit.
