“We should bring men to Christ, not to our own particular views of Christianity.” - C.H. Spurgeon

I’ve brought you to Christ / Messiah @Riven. What you do with him is in your hands and his.

Jesus himself isn’t Yahweh himself.

“But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and who formed you, Israel, says: ‘Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.’”

(Isaiah 43:1, WEB)

”Fear not; for I have redeemed thee - From the Egyptians and divers other enemies; and therefore I will redeem thee again.”

(Benson Commentary)

Yahweh and Jesus are both redeemers. Yahweh, the living God, redeemed Israel long before Jesus redeemed mankind.

Job knew nothing at all about Jesus. When he said that he knew his redeemer lives (Job 19:25), he was referring to Yahweh, not Jesus.

Of course. I went to a Christian school. I heard about him everyday.
Me too. They taught Dutch Reformed theology at mine. They envisioned a pretty horrible God who saved some people and damned others for no particularly good reason.

I say that to say this... perhaps there's a bit more to Christianity than just what they taught you in school. There was for me.

Jesus himself, as you know, isn’t a Catholic. He’s a Jewish monotheist. You also know that I’m a Jewish monotheist. (I’ve never attempted to conceal that fact from my readers.) His God, not their God, is my God.
Then who is their God?

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.”

(Job 19:25, WEB)
There are some things in that little verse that many do not consider, let alone believe and acknowledge. These two points ought to jump off the page:
  1. "In the end"...is a reference to a specific time.
  2. "he will stand upon the earth"...actually happened.
God put those two biblical facts together, the one noting the time of the other. But who has believed it?

Jewish monotheism. The redeemer is both Yahweh and Jesus. The redeemer is both God and man, the man Messiah Jesus.

“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”

(Revelation 21:22, NASB)

Yahweh (the Lord God the Almighty) and Jesus of Nazareth (the Lamb).

Is the differentiation simply a matter of above and below?

That’s an interesting question. Jesus said (in John 8:23) that he is from above (i.e., from God).

The differentiation is a matter of persons.

“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”

(Revelation 21:22, NASB)

Yahweh (the Lord God the Almighty) and Jesus of Nazareth (the Lamb).
and the sheep , the beleiving jew and gentile are added into that temple by faith IN GOD .
But if a man beleives NOT GOD , then he has not faith in GOD .
And WHO did the FATHER TESTIFY of , OF JESUS THE CHRIST .
IF a man believes not the testimony That The FATHER gave of HIS SON
THEN call GOD a liar they surely do .
And all liars , all unbelievers shall have their part in the Lake of fire .
Just a friendly reminder to us all to have no part in , no co helper in any way too , that interfaith ecumincal movement .
You may return to the orginal post now . For he who DENIES JESUS IS THE CHRIST , is an antichrist .
Do be encouraged my friend .
Forward march right into the trenches its all about trenchwarfare in these last and final hours .

I‘ve been listening to people say that no one can prove that God exists. I‘ve been listening to Job, and that’s not what I hear him saying.

The living God, Job’s God, exists - and Job knew it.

The reply to such comments is. " What do you mean by proof. What evidence would you accept? "
Point them to coldcasechristianity,, to reasonablefaith whjere they can read articles that discuss what evidence is.

or

Ask them for their explanation of why the universe exists instead of nothing.
An alternative site Can atheists rationally ground objective moral values and duties?

challenges them to explain why they are moral and at the end has a aseries of links to rational scientific reasons to believe in a God rather than in no God.
