Hi there!
So you are probably dying to know what "sharing a root" is, basically the Devil criticises you for having this. If you rebuke him on it, then you are free to serve the Holy Spirit meaningfully, as long as you like. You share a root, with the Holy Spirit, if the object of your conviction is centered on Christ in a similar way. If the Holy Spirit is trying to win people in Japan, and you are trying to win people in China, then prayer for revival is going to help both of you! This drives the Devil nuts!
The Devil would have you believe, you need to be doing the exact same thing, the exact same way for the exact same outcome, to be justified in the Lord - but you don't! God is not pursuing you for a particular kind of perfection, but a relationship, one that bends and moves with the strain of bearing obedience out. Once you get this, you will realise that you are never alone, never forgotten, never deprioritized, in God's sight.
Pray that you get this revelation: that it is an ongoing conviction, whether it grows strong or weak, fast or slow, powerful or over-charged. We all need to cheer the Holy Spirit on!
