Jesus Christ went to the cross because we killed Him. We kill Him when we pretend, He is not around. In that way we have killed Him in our hearts. If we don't realize we are responsible for Him going to the cross because we are sinners not willing to listen to Him, then we are not going to stop that pretending that He is not around.

Now we need to understand that He has forgiven us, so our repentance is not need by Him before He is willing to talk to us. But it is need by us so that we might talk to Him! If a person were to be able to get over the fact that they have been killing God in all they do, they could just start talking back and forth with Him, because He has forgiven them. He loves us so much that He is no longer willing to let our killing Him spiritually speaking, get in the way of a relationship with us. Yet our sin will keep us from seeking Him and what He has to say to us.

So, repentance - the realization and acceptance that we are sinners not willing listening to the Lord of lords and King of kings - is needed by us to hear from Him.

Lam 2:14 Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; And they have not exposed your iniquity...

Too often there are those going around telling Christians that they are good and all they do is right. What we really need to understand is that we are all sinner in need of Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean we are to be accusers, but it does mean we need to be frank and honest about us, humanity! Simply put, we need to take the attitude that we all make mistakes, but we can improve that by seeking our Lord Jesus Christ.

Repentance is then a state of understanding as opposed to a singular act. That state of understanding will start with a singular revelation - an act of repentance - but it needs to remain as understanding. Jesus explained that when we get into that place with God, we should pray the Lord's prayer, which has in it statements of repentance. That is a request for forgiveness - "forgive us our debts..." So at least that act of repentance should be happening daily, so it remains a state of understanding.

To be able to hear from Him throughout the day, there needs to be understanding that we, as sinners, need Him who alone is righteous by deed. We are counted as righteous by Him - meaning as already stated that He has forgiven us and is no longer willing to remember our sins. Saying that does not mean that we are not still sinners in need of our Lord Jesus Christ to guide us! It only means that He does not count our sins against us.

He has made it ok for us to be us, sinners, so long as we believe in Him. Yet believing in Him means believing that God alone is good! That belief then turns us to Him and causes us to do what He askes of us as opposed to leaning on our understanding. Which is how we keep from sinning - though we are not perfect at doing that. Maybe we are getting better at doing that though, if we keep that understanding.

Have we ever thought about why people often like to call other people 'good people'. Perhaps we should just call others believers or unbelievers, and keep reminding ourselves that only God is good. We (Christians) are then those striving after Jesus Christ to hear what He has to say to us via His Holy Spirit talking to our spirit.

Only repented sin is forgiven. Acts 3:19--says--repent and turn around( stop doing the sin) to get sin blotted out.
2 Lists of unacceptable sins at 1Cor 6:9-11, and Galations 5:19-21, any who practice one of these it states both spots--will not enter Gods kingdom( be saved)-- That doesnt even mention all the false god worship all over the earth. But the result will be the same.

Only repented sin is forgiven.....

No - that is not true!

Luke 23:34 But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

All unrighteousness is sin. If a person does not know what they are doing is wrong, then they certainly don't even know to repent for it!!

Jn 20:23 “If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them...

Note that is does not say "of any you have repented!!

Now all the verses in the Bible have to be right - so one verse does not make another wrong. So lets take a look at some verses and see why we might have misread them:

Now let's look at some verses referenced to

Only repented sin is forgiven. Acts 3:19--says--repent and turn around( stop doing the sin) to get sin blotted out.

Now here is the verse: Acts 3:19 “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

First note that is does not read "Only" - so that came from someone leaning on their own understanding, not the Bible! Also it does not read "turn around" as in "(stop doing the sin) but the verse is about returning! Return to where or to who?, must be the question. The answer is to return to Jesus Christ!! The problem as explained in the OP is that we don't want to returned to Jesus Christ and listen to Him until we repent of doing things wrong (confess our sins and repent of them). The reason is simple - if we don't think we are doing things wrong, we are not going to think we need God for advice on how to do things right!! We wind up operating in pride - or by leaning on our own understanding, which is the same thing. So the verse provided to prove "Only repented sin is forgiven" does not prove that at all. There is obvious misunderstanding present.

Now there is mentioned about how to get our sins blotted out, but there is also a lack of understanding why our sins are blotted out and how we actually go about doing the right things!!

Let me first bring up:

1 Cor 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,

Now that verse is correct, but it only means what it means. Indeed those practicing those things will not inherit the kingdom of God, but that does not mean that not doing those things means you are righteous and will inherit the kingdom of God. It only means that if you are practicing those things you will not inherit the kingdom of God! So it is not an instruction about how to inherit the kingdom of God but only pointing out that is someone is doing those things they are not inheriting the kingdom of God!! So repentance is not discussed in this section of the Bible, but the verse in this section that is important is more about returning to the Lord (which we already saw was misinterpreted) The important verse, about returning to the Lord follows:

1 Cor 6:16,17 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, “THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.” But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

So how do you join yourself to the Lord? The answer is simple - you start seeking His instructions to you and do them!! He like to guide your steps, so you ask the Lord what He needs you doing and then do them, and He is not going to tell you to join yourself to a prostitute - or any of those other things included above. Now if you think that following the Law - rules handed down - is going to get you to inherit salvation you have another thing coming! We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ - and since Jesus Christ is the Word of God and since He said He would never leave us, then believing in Him means believing that He is always we you do get instructions from! Thus actually believing in Jesus Christ means that you are hearing from Him regularly, meaning that you are not practicing those things and it also means that you are listening to His reproof, corrections, as well as His instructions!

So back to the OP information - you can hear from Him even if you don't repent, but you won't! You won't because He will reprove you, correct you, and give you correct and righteous instructions - which you don't want if you won't repent - meaning if you don't think you are doing anything wrong. You have to tell yourself that you are doing everything right so you don't need God - which winds up just deceiving yourself! It really goes to this verse:

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Again, note that all unrighteousness is sin - so that includes a lot more than just those things in 1Cor 6:9-11!!

It is written; "that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (Jn 3:16) - so repentance is not a condition in that verse, but only faith! The problems is that you won't believe if you won't repent! Indeed we need to lead a life where repentance (an understanding that it is not us who is righteous but only Him) is our regular state of mind so we keep returning to Him for what instructions, reproof, corrections, and more, because we understand that we need Him in our lives. We need to be one (joined) with Him!

The point is - that saying I repent of doing those things and committing ourselves to not doing those things, is not what gets us to heaven. Committing ourselves to seeking Him and listening to Him but faith is what gets us to heaven - and you are not doing that if you are doing those things, but you might still not be doing those things and not seeking to hear from Him by faith also - thereby missing out on your inheritance - heaven!

In a nutshell - we are saved by our faith in Jesus Christ - not by works of the Law!

Repentance and faith are necessary for salvation- and once saved we still need to repent when we know we’ve sinned, per 1 John 1:9, among others.

How are you going to practice sin if you are talking to the Lord who reproves those He loves????? (Rev 3:19)

Perhaps sin dwells in you?

Rm 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.

Knowing the Lord means knowing that little voice of His and how He keeps pointing out what you need to do. Yet we are sinners!!!

Have you not read that all unrighteousness is sin???

So, say you normally take a certain way to work at a certain time - and you get up one morning and take that same way and that same time but you don't talk to the Lord and there is an accident that occurred making you late for work. It is not right to be late for work so you sinned because you didn't talk to the Lord that morning!! Still you tell yourself that you are a righteous person by leaning on your own understanding! But you are a sinner, in need of the Lord and what He has to say to you.

But where sin abounds God's mercy and grace is there with forgiveness and better advice, if you care to listen.

THEREFORE, DON'T WRITE (STOP DOING THE SIN) TO GET SIN BLOTTED OUT BUT RATHER WRITE TURN TO THE LORD AND WHAT HE HAS TO SAY TO YOU TO GET SIN BLOTTED OUT!!!

That is the difference between believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and trying to justify yourself by leaning on your own understanding of the Law. What we are actually repenting of is leaning on our own understanding instead of letting Jesus Christ into our lives. Tt is for this reason that it is written that whoever believes in Him shall nor perish, and why Paul wrote so much about how the Law does not save us.

He has forgiveness for our sins, and even told us how to pray when we enter that place we meet with God - which has in it "forgive us our debts...". Do you still not understand that He would not have told you to pray that regularly if we regularly didn't sin?

Some fail to understand this which is why John wrote:

1 Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

We are not telling ourselves that we have no sin - are we? If so, that person is just deceiving himself and the truth (Jesus Christ) in them!

Yet for those you realize they don't always do the right thing, because they don't always listen to the Lord before doing what they do, John also wrote:

1 Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

That, like is explained in the OP, is a state we Christian live in. The realization that we are sinners in need of our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to hear from Him, but don't always do that. We make mistakes - regularly - not that we are trying to practice that - but we do. So we confess our sins, He forgives us and indeed has already done so because He knows how we are. The confession is not for Him to know but for us to realize that we need Him daily. It is written "Today if you hear His voice" which of course is the day to hear from Him. It is the day we need to confess that we are sinners needing to listen to Him better. So what, you might want to ask yourself, has He already told you today? I got up and He started to remind me that He had told me to write this post last night, but I got sidetrack and forgot. So, I wrote it this morning, according to the reminder He just gave me.

That is how living a life with the Lord Jesu Christ is, when you are a sinner who messes up. That is why Paul wrote that he did the things he didn't want to do and how he realized that sin was present in Him. Perhaps you might want to read Romans 7 and discuss it with the Lord?

Rm 7:17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

Jesus assures at Matt 7:22-23- many are practicing sin that think they serve Jesus.

I always find it amazing when people reference a verse to back up what the write when the verse clearly does not back up what they are claiming. That is why I usually provide the text of the verse!!

Any what here how Mat 7:22-23 is written:

Mat 7: 22-23 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’“ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

A few things to note in the verse:

First: is that it is about whether they know Jesus Christ or not!
Second: They are practicing "Lawlessness" - but it is changed to "practicing sin"!

I noted in by post that "all unrighteousness is sin - so a person might not break a law and still do something other than the right thing (sin).
And it might actually be possible to break a law and still do the right thing, because the Law is based on love. So what if the law said not to jump off the pier but someone had fallen in and was drowning and you happening to be a life guard and highly experience in such a thing. Should you not help someone live even if a law was broken?

Still - (as already discussed but was missed) who knows what is the right thing to do????

God does!! The Law of God was made by God and what God says is Law!! So if a person actually knows the Lord, say as opposed to leaning on his own understanding of what is right or wrong, then that person could ask the Lord what needs to be done and do it and not break the Law of God even if another person does not understand this.

Also the reverse might also be true, where a person leaning on His own understanding but not listening to the Lord our God the Law giver, might actually be breaking the Law that comes from His mouth with out realizing it. That is a "lawless person" indeed - who does not actually know the Lord>

The Pharisees (which we should have read about) were that type of people. They, according to their own understanding, were following to the Law and traditions of the day, yet Jesus explained that to get into heaven your righteousness had to exceed theirs!!

So why then did we misinterpret the verses - even those referenced? How did we miss the important part about knowing the Lord???

Some bibles say--you who work iniquity= a practice of sin,(Lawlessness is sin. 1John 3:4)-- yes i agree there are other ways to sin as well.
You are right about knowing Jesus-There are at least 4 different Jesus' being taught on earth. One must know the real Jesus.

Hebrews 10:26
"26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Sinning willfully carries with it the idea of sinning continually and deliberately. Apostasy. Knowing full well one is sinning and spitting on Christs sacrifice.
This is what I believe Hebrews 10:26 means:
"...there remains no OTHER sacrifice", so if one is non repentant and still think they are Christians, they will remain in their false beliefs while still sinning...BUT, if they DO repent and turn back to Jesus, they WILL be saved as, there IS no other sacrifice for sins except that of Christs sacrifice, He is forgiving to all who repent and turn from there practice of sinning.

Acts 3:19--Repent and turn around( stop doing the sin) to get sin blotted out. If Jesus covered all of the righteous ones sin who lived since his death, then why did they die and pay their own wages of sin?

They were told by Jesus they would die for His kingdom, they already knew, and some even the manner in which they would die
Nobody pays their own way to the Kingdom, Jesus already did that but, we are still subject to the consequences of the mistakes and sins we commit while on this earth. He chastens those He loves and nobody will get past that. We all will die, in our physical form, unless we are fortunate enough to be here upon His return.
We will NEVER escape payment for our deeds down here but, we ARE forgiven them and we must remember that WE do NOT pay for our "salvation" but, consequences, yes, for sure.
If a Christian sins and say, cheats on their spouse, they will pay for that down here in many ways, loss of a marriage, loss of communion with God...unless they earnestly repent.

If a Christian falls into sin say like, drugs, or alcoholism...again, could be loss of many things...job, marriage, friends, loss of community with God's people. BUT...they will be saved if repentant.
We were promised many trials and tribulations on this earth but if we have Christ, He brings us "through" them.

In fact, I have not lived a very healthy life, I drank, hung at bars, drugged and smoked cigarettes' for many years. Did not always eat healthy either so, I can expect to not have a long life as, issues from living that way have come home to roost but, I have Christ lifting me through all of that and I DEFINITELY do NOT love my life unto death.

Jesus said--Some of you standing here will never die. He wasnt speaking to them personally, he was speaking in reference to his holy ones as a group, the ones who lived on earth to see the tribulation and Har-mageddon come to the earth. Its these that will never taste death. The rest of the righteous who lived and died, paid their own wages of sin just like all other mortals.
I had a wicked youth myself, drugs, drinking, cigarettes, fornicating. One never wants to look back as Lots wife did and miss those things. Its always important to keep moving forward.

Matthew 16:28
“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

Matt 17:1-9
1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
6 When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified.
7 But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.”
8 When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Peter, James and John were present and still living when Christ came into His Kingdom by being glorified that day. So, yes, there were some there who did witness this...? And all but John were martyred.

What does this have to do with a "crown"??

Jesus DID come in His kingdom when at the mount of transfiguration WITH Moses and Elijah. His glorified body alone proves that.

Jesus is king for 1000 years- Rev 20:7-10--Satan would would already be destroyed if you were correct and the resurrection would have occurred as well as the tribulation and Har-mageddon. Then Jesus hands back the kingdom to his God and Father-1Corinthians 15:24-28) when all is back to perfection. This world is far from it. And there would be no more death but all know that is not happening yet as well. So your theory is flawed. We are on the verge of the tribulation. Babylon the great must fall=worldwide religion. And this event happens quickly. Rev 18:21

I totally agree we are very much on the verge of the great trib. In the pangs now IMHO. And yeah, you are right...my theory is flawed.

Satan would would already be destroyed

Not before the "little season":

Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Yes after the 1000 year reign of Christ--If it began back during the transfiguration, it was over almost 1000 years ago and satan is destroyed and the resurrection occurred, but neither has occurred yet. And death would be no more. Rev 21:4-- but none of these events have transpired yet. The trib and Harmageddon precede these events by many years. The presence ( Matt 24:37,, 1Cor 15:23,,2Peter 3:4,,)occurred-1914 Rev 6-he received his crown.
These last days grow short. I am sure the fall of Babylon is the next event. This triggers the tribulation( locking of the door)
