What about other people who you do not agree with on the biblical text; you can always harp on them By the flesh. Say no no no you are wrong and as believers act like babes in Christ. Or you can be mature in the spirit of Christ to actually have a mature respectful discussion even if not seeing eye to eye on scripture; drop it and have love for each other.

There is much fighting done today; even now because of differences of opinion and that will never end of course because the world will being on forever even after you and me have died whoever is reading this.

You are the only person in your life that can be an example of Christ but also in the truthful realization that you are going to fail other people; but God will not.

You can honestly have a realization that nothing good comes from us human beings; and that is why the need for a saviour is needed; so that the all powerful God of the universe will work in our minds and hearts by the Son of God with in us or the spirit of Christ that is given that you; can by the spirit let the flow of love come from above that is pure into your own life and into others lives.

It is all up to you; and God is with you, even if people do not understand you, you feel alone in this world, or whatever the case may be.

Take care and seek God friend.

Someone had, at a church I used to belong to, badmouthed me behind my back. The pastor's wife told me about it. I chose to forgive the person in my heart and in deed, bless her with my mouth and actions, and love her as a sister in Christ. I did not react carnally.
On 3 different occasions, the Lord told me to tell her that she was His war club. The third time was right before she led worship. During worship, she started warring as she sang. I thought it was great. Then she collapsed in front of everybody. God humbled her.
I later ran into her at another church and tried to be nice to her. Years later I discovered that she was telling others that I was hitting on her. I wasn't. Forgive, bless, love, even when it hurts. And it hurt me greatly.

I see it like this: the fire of affliction boils the living water in me. It causes a dreg of sin to come to the surface of my consciousness.
Whatever it is, I confess to the Lord, knowing that He died so I could be forgiven. With godly sorrow, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, I repent, turning back to father God 180%.
I take this sin to my cross and crucify it. If need be, I expel the enemy, break it's power, bind it, and cast it out.
If the staff want to talk to me, fine. I don't know you. And you don't know me. Peace, brother.

I do love the words of Job: "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him" (Job 13.15).
Sound it out round the world my friend . THE LORD IS OUR HOPE and our Salvation . LET THE LORD BE PRAISED .
The end of a lamb is full of all hope and all joy . For on that day He or she is forever with the ONE who saved them .
What a huge praise fest the saints shall sing to the LORD . In the meantime , ITS TIME TO PRAISE THE LORD YET AGAIN .

@amigo de christo We need to keep "looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12.2).

suffering is part of the Christian walk. Do not know why this doesn't get taught much, and probably does not get taught much in Churches either way it goes.

Thanks for your reply, @MatthewG…. That suffering is part of the Christian walk doesn’t have to be taught in churches. There’s enough suffering in this world to touch us all. But mature Christians should be well-equipped to handle tough times—and we should be living examples for those younger or weaker, and especially for those who are not in Christ. Our reaction to suffering need not be anger or grumpiness or complaining. We in Christ are strong, even in these “jars of clay.” I love the words of the apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:7-9… But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

The “excellence of the power” to cope with suffering in a way that will glorify our Father is not within our own power, but HIS power within us. This knowledge gives me great encouragement and makes me so happy inside that I smile as I write this. I’m thinking of how Stephen must have suffered, how humiliated he must have been to be brought before the Sanhedrin, before angry men who shouted at him and gnashed their teeth at him for his belief. If he was fearful or angry at their false accusations, his response didn’t show it. With Holy Spirit power, he testified that he saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God! And when they refused to listen and dragged him out to be stoned, he prayed for them.
He didn’t focus on his own suffering. It may have appeared to non-believers that he suffered, but I believe he died a very happy man.

@WillTell There is so much that is stirring and of encouragement in 2 Corinthians... :)

OP ^

I would say "Christianity" is about:
Hearing, Learning, Following, Believing, Practicing;
The Teachings of Christ the Lord Jesus.

Christianity..."and the practice thereof";

IS INNER JOY....even during Worldly Duress
IS INNER PEACE...even during Worldly Duress
IS INNER COMFORT...even during Worldly Duress

Inner Joy, Peace, Comfort; ALL the Works of God

Hello WillTell,

Thank you for your encouragement; and am only reminded of the joy we have that inexpressible.

1 Peter 1:8-11

8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

10 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, 11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

I can be a little touchy. I get lambasted sometimes and I can ricochet. Thanks for the concern, Matthew, I do appreciate it.

Hello Truman The Levite,

Totally understandable; in my own life have had outburst of anger over things because of others; living by the spirit of Christ and staying in the vine can be tough. It is a choice made by an individual to do so daily; in dying to ourselves and living for Christ. Not an easy task and if anyone says that is an easy task is lying because it is very difficult. It is part of the walk though and thank you again for your time of sharing and commenting here.

Hello Iconnoclast, what does that mean to you ? A holy person will be happy?
Hebrews12:14
rom.8:28-39
psalm1
psalm37
mt.5
lay out a path for a person ... A God ordained path spoken of in Isa.35.a highway of Holiness. Only those born from above are called to be saints on this highway.
Look at the Ot.prophecies...not for how it fits into your end times view, but look at the result of those Kingdom members.
