If you cannot comprehend how God’s power and authority are manifested, you should study the topic further and pray for clarity in understanding. Nowhere in the cited passage does it state that the Holy Spirit is God; it only mentions that they lied to God.
1) Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit
2) Peter equated that to lying to God
3) Ergo...the Holy Spirit is God

I hope this simple logic helps you,

The Trinity is a true revelation of the Godhead.
It's man's philosophical views on the nature of the Godhead. This is why hypostasis cannot be proven from the Bible and why scholars agree it's not there. Trying to prove this makes one look foolish.

The Holy Spirit is of God. It is directed towards doing good. Ananias lied to the one who has the Holy Spirit meaning God. Subtle difference, but true, nonetheless.

HS...."whom the Father will send in my name" John 14:26

God, in His divine power and authority, sends His Spirit through Christ, angels, the apostles, and, in the future, the saints.

It's overcoming the dogma which is in your mind.

Not easy!

I am one who is convinced you are confused. If you don't believe how I am, you won't understand [how] you are confused. Do you comprehend?
Not the same application of "I am" as Jesus used in John 8. Although it could be considered insulting coming from a respectable source that wasn't so mislead, I would not stone you for it. I understand that you are only exalting your self presumed understanding over me and not declaring yourself God

Before Abraham was ......."I AM' (Then they took up stones to stone him)

That spirit of deception that hold you prisoner is difficult to deal with since it wrests and distorts truth into a sad caricature of lies.

@Hiddenthings @shepherdsword Doesn't the story of the good Samaritan prove God doesn't care about theological dogma?
I think it shows that one can have the correct understanding but still lack compassion. It also shows the reverse. The Samaritan had the false doctrine but he was the one who actually did the will of God.

1 Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

We need love to truly be Christ's disciple.

I believe consideration is better than love. Agape means this. Consideration is better than loving people. Trump loved Epstein, but he only considered Maxwell, for example.

Good night.

Isaiah 48:16-17
16 "Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit Have sent Me." 17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

The Samaritan woman was corrected in her false understanding of where salvation was found. It's possible to push the parable beyond its intended meaning.
Vague? The salvation was of the Jews, and the Samaritans thought Yahweh be shaped like a man. What did I supposedly miss?

Please show a scripture for that. Here is what the scripture actually says:

Mt 12:31-32
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The Trinity is a true revelation of the Godhead.
That is FACT! OT and NT.

What word did they choose?
Hello @St. SteVen,

God has been described in many ways within the word of God, 'omnipotent' being just one that comes to mind, describing just one facet of the whole being and nature of God by finite man. The fulness of the Godhead bodily dwelleth in the Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, it is to and through Him that we are to view the Divine. He is the only lens through which we can view accurately and honourably the One Who is Father and His God.

The point I have been making on several threads is that there was no Trinity until the Incarnation. (when the Word became flesh)
Not until the Son of God was conceived do we have God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, making three.

Jesus remembered retrospectively having been with the Father in the beginning.
But He was not Jesus, God the Son at that time.

IOW you're saying God wasn't God. No surprise STV!

Hello @St. SteVen,

The word 'Trinity' is a divisive word, and not Scriptural either. Yet the three roles being enacted within the record of the New Testament are plainly in evidence. The Lord Jesus said to Philip in John 14:9-11 ... :-

'Jesus saith unto him,
Have I been so long time with you,
and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip?
he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father;
and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?
the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself:
but the Father that dwelleth in Me He doeth the works.
Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me:
or else
believe Me for the very works' sake.'
(Joh 14:9-11)

... 'believe me for the very works' sake', and this is what we must do. Not use words which have no Scriptural warrant, such as the word, 'Trinity'. Just believe as we see both the Rather, the Son and the Holy Spirit at work within the written word and praise God, through the ;risen and glorified Word, for the work that all three fulfilled to the glory of God: Thereby securing our salvation, destroying the works of the Devil, and confirming the promises made unto the Fathers. For it is finished, the work successfully fulfilled; all the fulness of the Godhead bodily dwells in our Lord, and we are made 'complete' in Him! (Col. 2:8-10)

Praise God!

In Christ Jesus
Chris

@MonoBiblical it's crazy how Trinitarians treat John 8 and when the truth is revealed they withdraw quietly from the conversation.
