So @Big Boy Johnson, what scriptural evidence do you have to support your the above comment?Big Boy Johnson said:
Jesus said hell was real and those going there would be tormented for eternity so those folks won't cease to exist.

May I ask what part of his comment you disagree with?So @Big Boy Johnson, what scriptural evidence do you have to support your the above comment?
I don't believe ANYONE is literally tormentedMay I ask what part of his comment you disagree with?
First of all, there are three different underlying Greek works that are translated into English as "hell" in the KJV Bible. Do you believe that any of them describe a place of torment? If so, then do you believe that they describe a place of everlasting torment or just temporary torment? If it is just temporary torment, then what is the duration or length of that torment? Do you believe in annihilation or that the wicked will cease to exist at some point in time? Please provide scriptural reasons for your own beliefs. Thank you.

I don't believe ANYONE is literally torment
If there is a Hell
Jesus said there was a hell, so there is no further questioning if there is a hell or not.
nor am I aware of any
empirical evidence to prove its existence
So, you want to take this verse literally? Then I'll assume that Jesus really wanted us to cut off our hands and feet or pluck out our eyes (verses 45, 47).Jesus says those that go to hell will burn in fire that shall NOT be quenched into everlasting punishment
Mark 9:43-44
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
This is of course, a parable. That said, let's talk about the punishment part. Grab your Concordance and see what the Scriptures say about the punishment for willful sinners who ignore and turn away from all the good things God offers them through Christ. What do you find? Does God say — All sinners will suffer in agony forever? No; you won't find a single verse that promises any kind of life to that group.Matthew 25:46
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Again, this is destruction. Strong's #3639 (olethros), which according to Professor Strong means "destruction", "death".2 Thessalonians 1:9
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
And not one verse to support your view. This is a lie the devil has tricked those ignorant of God's Word in to spreading as it causes those out in the world to quit considering getting saved because that think they will cease to exist (false doctrine of annihilationism) as the false teachers claiming to be Christian espouse.
Jesus said there was a hell, so there is no further questioning if there is a hell or not.

The question isn't if there's a hell, the question is "What is hell?"
And still no scriptures to support your views, just human reasoning. At the rate you are going claiming Jesus is ignorant, you're going to find out first hand!
You have a serious problem in that you have deceived by the enemy in to not believing God's Word.
You're starting to sound like a parrot "Big Boy". So until you show me scripture and reason, our conversation is over. You really want to claim Jesus is ignorant and does not know what He's talking about as you are claiming by your response???
A parable is a teaching and in Jesus' teaching He confirms that hell is real.
At the rate you are going claiming Jesus is ignorant, you're going to find out first hand!
Yes, death as in separated from God meaning rather than spending eternity with the Lord they will spend eternity being tormented in hell along with the devil and all the fallen angels.
God's Word teaches hell is real, continue making the claim the Lord lied in His Word at your own peril.
And still no scriptures to support your views, just human reasoning.
So until you show me scripture and reason, our conversation is over.
Yes, I do.So, you want to take this verse literally?
That is precisely what he meant. Apparently, you have no clue as to how much God hates sin and to what lengths we should go to eradicate it from our lives. Then I'll assume that Jesus really wanted us to cut off our hands and feet or pluck out our eyes (verses 45, 47).
Are you aware that Jesus was quoting the prophet Isaiah in those verses? Apparently not. You seem to be ignorant (willfully?) of many things. That said, are you aware that the entire verses of 44, 46 parts of verse 45 and 47 are spurious?
Lol.Meaning that they do not appear in the Codex Vaticanus and the Codex Sinaiticus.
If you don’t believe anyone is literally tormented, then you don’t believe what the Bible says. Jesus spoke of “everlasting punishment” (Matthew 25:46), “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Luke 13:28), and “fire that shall never be quenched” (Mark 9:43–48). Revelation 14:11 says, “The smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever, and they have no rest day nor night.” That’s not symbolic, that’s not a metaphor, that’s literal.I don't believe ANYONE is literally tormented
You want some verses about torment? Sure, no problem.Although there isn't a single verse in the Bible that states this group can experience life in torment or any other state, there are many verses that indicate the opposite.
