The Catholics see nothing wrong with “baptizing” pagan practices. They don’t believe Christians “hold the patent on truth.”

They used to sell live chicks dipped in dye at easter from what I heard. Surprised that isn't done anymore.

Does God approve of using pagan symbols and worship if we just decide to rename and adopt them into our worship?

“Then he took the gold from them, and he formed it with an engraving tool and made it into a statue of a calf. They began to say: “This is your God, O Israel, who led you up out of the land of Egypt.” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. Then Aaron called out: “There is a festival to Jehovah tomorrow.” 6 So they got up early on the next day and began offering up burnt offerings and presenting communion sacrifices. After that the people sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up to have a good time. 7 Jehovah now said to Moses: “Go, descend, because your people, whom you led up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. 8 They have quickly deviated from the way I commanded them to go. They have made for themselves a statue of a calf, and they keep bowing down to it and sacrificing to it and saying, ‘This is your God, O Israel, who led you up out of the land of Egypt.’” 9 Jehovah went on to say to Moses: “I have seen that this is an obstinate people. 10 So now let me be, and I will exterminate them in my burning anger, and let me make a great nation from you instead.”

This raises a question that is bigger than just Easter. Are there other beliefs and practices that the Catholic Church “baptized” and is my religion still influenced by those traditions?

I've never actually met an Easter Bunny.

Now I did watch Bugs Bunny a lot when I was a kid. He could be VERY deceptive, as many a character found out.

2:32+ was one of my favorites.

I can say that I never liked Bugs Bunny really nor Micky Mouse. I do not know why, most people did like them the best. maybe Micky and Bugs are the most disliked, I think it maybe because they were some what stuck up.
I remember having Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comic books. you can not get them in Australia for 20 years or more and never see such on TV ever. yep I just looked at the last one and it was printed April 2004.

Bugs Bunny was a cross dresser.

Didn't you ever notice?
Bugs Bunny was a cross dresser...

Now is it because a man or a rabbit wearing a dress is funny. Or is it subliminal indoctrination of children? Subconscious programming

I'm still not sure but I think it was funny. We have a male comedian in Australia who dresses as a woman, Dame Edna, cos it's funny. His not gay or lgbt his just funny and been around since the 80s.

Laughter is the natural reaction to a man in a dress. They have inverted that. Now a man in a dress is to be taken seriously

Anyway... Bugs Bunny in drag... A fact

I caught a lot of flack and criticism, but I didn't allow my children to watch Disney, or Looney Tunes, and my girls never had Barbie Dolls. I just can't stand the thoughts of little girls playing with dolls with chests, and then their brothers seeing them. It's almost like a soft porn, imo. Goodness, I was picked on a lot for not letting my girls have Barbies.

3 votes on the Easter Bunny not being a fraud, wow to even think baffles me, I guess the same people believe in Leprechauns and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Not as many people believe in the Easter Bunny as they do Santa Clause... Hmm I wonder why. Their both as fraudulent as each other and they both require you to lie to children.

So to me their the same... Frauds... Taking the attention from our true saviour... Christ

The Easter bunny is made up, Santa Clause is named after a Christian Saint named Saint Nicholas who was known for his generosity.
