Modern Israel today is not Ancient Israel at all.

There are a lot of people who hate Israel:

However there are still many people who just want to live regular normal day to day lives which is not bent on hell raising…

Most Jews today are secular or cultural Jews, yet still identify with the Jewish people. A gaping hole in much of Christian theology is that Jesus discards Jews and others like trash and burns them alive forever. That isn't at all how it works. Jesus will unite ALL THINGS in himself. The following scriptures describe that God will have mercy on ALL.

There are bad Jews but they nonetheless remain God's chosen people and we should support the will of our Father by supporting Israel.

Romans 11:29-32
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now[e] receive mercy. 32 For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

You are badly misinterpreting that passage. Paul is saying that God wants to have mercy on all people, including all Jews and Gentiles, but He only has mercy on those who humble themselves and repent (Luke 18:9-14).

Christians, including Jew and Gentile believers united as one body, are God's chosen people!

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
