Did Jesus say He hated them? NO!!! He just said they are WICKED!

Better question: Why do you hate BILLIONS of humans that you admitted? Only Satan would lead you to all that hatred? Does Jesus hate you?
Jesus hates Satan, and He hated those whom He likened to Satan, and condemned to the abode of Satan.

He was obeying His own Word.

He didn't just liken them to Satan. He said they were devils and serpents. That's one of the biggest reveals in the Bible about the identity of Satan.

And I'm not talking about bloodlines or descent. I'm talking about what's in us. The serpent is human nature itself, the flesh. That's why Jesus could look at those men and call them what he did. He was naming what was operating in them.
So this applies to every one of us, myself included. That's the point.

That would make Jesus the serpent as well and that is clearly wrong. This is devil/satan denial which seeks to deny the true identity of satan and make "him" only an aspect of us.

The serpent on the pole in Numbers was a picture of Jesus wasn’t it? Why did God use a serpent to represent Jesus? What was God showing there?

That was a saraph not a serpent as satan is in a symbolic sense.

Why do you keep repeating that lie? To please your religion of HATE maybe?

That was a saraph not a serpent as satan is in a symbolic sense.
I looked into that and I don't think the distinction holds up, though I appreciate you making me check.

Verse 8 does say saraph, but verse 9 turns right around and calls what Moses made a nechash nechoshet, a serpent of bronze. Same object, both words. And back in verse 6 the two appear together as nechashim seraphim, fiery serpents, where saraph is describing what kind of serpents they were rather than naming a different creature.

Then Jesus settles it in John 3:14 when he says "as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness." The Greek there is ophis, the ordinary word for serpent, and it's the same word used in Revelation 12:9 for "that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan."

So the text itself uses both words for the same thing, and Jesus called it a serpent. Which brings me back to what I was actually asking. Why did God have Moses use a serpent to represent Jesus on the cross.

The answer to me is obvious. The serpent represents human DNA.
