An interesting article I read recently...
Israel: Newly Found Second Century Scroll Claims Jesus was an Alcoholic
worlddailynwesreport.com
“Although previously found versions of the Gospel of John reveal similar traits of the story, these passages seem to emphasize the fact that Jesus heavily indulged in the festivities, being called a ‘drunkard’ and being described as ‘mating’ with the men and women of the celebration” he adds, visibly fascinated.

I'm wondering if Pro-Israel advocates around the world realize that the majority of people living in Israel are secular?

We understand that the Jews followed cultural traditions and kept various festivals which their forefathers also kept. We also understand that the Jewish leaders of the day believed that Jesus was a heretic because he claimed to be the Son of God and savior of the world. A find like this would only exemplify the fact that Israel is still trying to deny who Jesus truly was. Just as they did in Matthew 28:11, 12, 13, 14, 15..JM :9qcrib:

Any thoughts?

I highly doubt this is authentic. Any discovery of an early document that refers to Jesus of Nazareth would create a media storm. Especially one that is contrary to the Biblical view.

If such a scroll was found, it would only tend to confirm what the gospels say in regard to the character attacks made against Jesus by Jewish rulers that were His contemporaries, and in so doing strengthen the arguments for the truth of scripture. I'm inclined to believe that this falls outside the agenda of secular Israel (supporting the gospel accounts that is,) so such a story coming out of Israel would probably die a quick editor's death, and certain disclaimers. Some thought that the ossuary found that was believed to hold the remains of James, the brother of our Lord, would some how be used to attack the Christian faith, and I've seen a documentary hosted by an Israeli archeologist on one such potential find and the peculiar interpretation of its significance, but such finds tend to confirm the biblical account and typically can only be used to attack non biblical doctrines (traditions) that Christianity would be better off without.

WNDR assumes however all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle

Misinformation, often the work of politicians and security agencies, is manipulation of the public. In Nazi Germany, humor was used to dehumanize the Jewish population in the eyes of the general public and make it easier for the Nazis to gather them, murder them, and dispose of their remains without much of a public outcry. When you hear such reports as in the OP, you should wonder where its all headed.
